Dog Sitting Charges

How are you going to pay the vet if one of your changes is taken ill suddenly? You need to be registered with the Inland Revenue as self-employed and fill in a tax return, even if you don't actually earn enough to pay income tax. IMO advertise your rates and stick to them, clients who are prepared to pay a fair daily rate will recommend you to their friends. If you just want dogs in your home with less hassle than running a sitting business rescues are crying out for experienced foster homes.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Your £10 a day seems cheap compared to the majority of other dog sitters out there, see babysitmydog.com for example, where the average rate seems closer to £15.
As others have mentioned, by getting insurance and having a CRB check you can probably charge in the region of £15-20.0 -
Since July 2012 I think prices have gone up a bit

What about the Cinnamon Trust?
They pair dog lovers with people who need help with their dogs, eg the elderly, Borrowadog may be worth a look too.
BTW, I don't think you need to declare earnings if you're below the tax threshold. This is from the HM Revenue site " If your taxable income is more than your tax-free allowances you must contact HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) if you're not already paying tax".Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.0 -
Our dog goes for sleepovers to our dog groomer when we are away on holiday. We supply food. She charges £10 a night.
If we just have a day of dog walking it is £5 if we are out all day. Two long walks one morning, one tea time alongside her own dog.0
