    Yes, perhaps - if it is not a one-of-a-kind item then there is a good chance the seller may have a number to offload.

    Even a private seller might have reasons for having a joblot, particularly as a collectable item which they regularly buy in bulk to sift through (I did it with stamps and postcards for a while, though nowadays I tend just to buy singles of what I need to fill gaps).

    It's not particularly rare but the way he described the item 'it was my dad's' and little details of how his dad would keep it in pristine condition just makes it seem like he only has one item. It's definitely not an item that one person would need two of is what I mean. I'm hoping he just forgot to take the listing down.

    He could as easily be a dealer pretending to be a private seller. I get a lot of duplicate 'rare and collectable' items in the course of my business and there are a lot of people out there un registered.
