Hi
Daren't stay on here too long as still have 2 pages of church magazine to fill before 6.00pm.
Hilstep: WOW. 4 lbs is good. I lost 2 stones by using a small plate and also a small (pastry) fork. Sadly, put most of it back on - too many treats.
Feeling a bit better today as it's slightly cooler. However I've noticed that one of my ankles has swollen alarmingly, I mean, more than the usual tree trunks I inherited from DF (thanks Dad!) Think about it. Tree trunks with bulgy bottoms - I'm sooo attractive.
Just started my own version of the Nos diet - no sugar, no snacks and no seconds. Never have seconds, ever, but the first two will be challenging.
Stay cool everyone.

Afternoon all
Another glorious day here, though not as warm
Took work kids to our cabin this morning to do some work, then met an ex-colleague for lunch and a chinwag. Atempted to skive off work at half3, but someone had blocked my minibus in  it was another minibus (we park in a bus stop which is only for us and school buses) so I rung the company and the man who answered was very apologetic and within 10minutes the driver was there to move it, so all ok in the end!
Just sitting here with hair dye on, it's well overdue! I'm really excited about the Olympics too (I have 2 lots of tickets, first ones tomorrow) but will miss the ceremony as I'm off out for a drink tonight with a new friend (aka a first date! not got much hope as he doesn't have much conversation when we have messaged/spoke, but you never know). I'm taking the car so soft drinks only.
OS wise - bedding in WM this morning and wil put it back on bed once hair dye is sorted. dinner will be something on toast. dishes put away.
Have a fab day all

Afternoon All
Haven't posted for the last couple of days I have been too busy. Had to see the Orthopaedic Consultant yesterday and have to go back in 6 months. It was a hot journey there and back, and he told me that the OA is behind my left kneecap now as well.
Then we went for a meal at our local harvester and it really wasn't that nice, waste of money really. Plus there was a woman who had three kids and she just let them run wild  So we have decided not to go out for a meal for our 25th in September we are going to have a buffet party at home, be a lot cheaper and nicer company. Then when we got home and DH brought the bin up he found that some dirtyhas put dog
in the bin and it stank to high heaven _pale_ .This is not the first time that it has happened either  If DH catches who it is he will throw it back at them, he is fuming.
:rotfl: I sound like a right miserable old bat, but there are some days when you just want to scream.
Got five loads of washing done and on the line, DS is bringing the dry stuff in now.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

You should see the doctor about your ankle it could be anything from being on your feet too long, to something like kidney disease or DVT.
Take care of yourself and get your feet raised higher than your head and see if that helps xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hi chums we took Mikey back to the coast on Wednesday, and at first he was a bit wary of going in the water, then he decided that if Mum or I went for a paddle then he would as well. After about an hour of this we slowly started to get him to have a bit of water half way up to his knees and by the time we came home (boiling on the beach) he was sitting in the water with his float and it was around his tummy so we are both really pleased and have promised him a bigger boogie board like his brothers have instead of his smaller float when we go on holiday. We are taking him to the indoor pool on Sunday and hopefully he will be ok and he is going to keep an eye on 'Granny' in case I slip and fall.He is so worried about me falling over bless him.Today I took them on their end-of-the month treat They asked if we could go to Costa Coffee and have one of their smoothies drinks. We have a new C/C where I live and apparently all the local kids think its 'cool ' to go there.Well I took three of the smaller boys and Jack had a smoothie Henry had a hot chocolate with marshmallow, and Mikey had a smoothie I had a latte and almost fell over when I found out it cost £10.75 for the four of us but it was well worth it to see their faces as they had been asking for ages when they could go as all their friends had been
:)Odd what kids think of as a treat but I usually treat them to a little something at the end of the month from my 'Happy cash' which is stashed for these occasions:D
it was very nice but vastly overpriced ,but they loved the idea of sitting on a leather sofa, and having a drink in a cafe:rotfl:My tribe are barking mad I swear:rotfl:
I am home now and am going to have the fan on whilst I do the ironing (as little as I can get away with in this weather)then I'll watch the opening of the games.I do hope all goes well i fell about when the minister (I think it was Jeremy Hunt) rang his bell this morning and almost brained someone with it as it fell off the handle:rotfl:The boys were all up early as they were hoping to hear some bells, bearing in mind our local church St Margarets in Rainham rings the blessed things every Thursday night for practice, and most of Sunday morning as well they were stunningly silent this morning to the boys annoyance as they were hoping to hear them.Mikey shook my car keys, and Henry waved the hamsters bells around. No idea why St Margarets didn't join in I daresay someone will have a moan about it in the local paper next week.
Right I'm off to sort out my ironing and get the fan on its stifling hot and humid at the moment I think we are in for some rain later as my joints are starting to ache a bit, hope it doesn't spoli the ceremony tonight
Cheers chums

We rang my handbells with 20 of our neighbours at 08.12am. Then had coffee and cake.Luvverly.
I ring handbells so had 15 of them at home, plus toy bells and light-up Christmas bells.0 -
Butterfly Brain: Thanks for the advice. I remember this happening about 20 years ago and it was very hot then. If it doesn't get better in the next few days I promise I'll force myself to the docs. I've not met her yet as I've only been here 3 years so it will be an experience.I believe that friends are quiet angels
