Or claim off Halifax and then claim your excesses and lost bonuses from UU.
I'd appreciate it if someone can confirm if this is an option.
From what UU have said to me I got the impression I could only claim from them or my home insurance. If I can claim off my home insurance then claim the excess of UU then that is by far the best route to choose.0 -
When I contacted Halifax they said that they could only claim the excesses etc back under very limited circumstances and they couldn't guarantee it. Also, they pointed out that it could take a long while to get it back. It seems more sensible therefore to stick the going through UU. More hassle but no loss of bonus or excess to pay.0
