I just feel so sick to the stomach about it,
Also feel guilty I cant pay the money back I borrowed it at the end of the day.
I feel guilty for my kids and feel like im letting them down, its causing tension in the house.
Just cant help feeling down.
Marcus
yes you borrowed it, your circumstances have changed and you are unable at the moment to pay it back as you would like.
It's not a crime! No one died! No matter what some people may have you believe, prattling on about moral responsibilities and such like.
So the idea now is to get a plan in place.
You make sure you have a roof, food, water, heating, light, clothes, a small entertainment allowance, tv licence, presents, any health payments, sundry other, school uniform and car maintenance all covered.
Then you offer the creditors what you have left.
Thats the way it works. They don't like it, they send really funny letters threatening all sorts of nonsense but its only a computer, they don't employ real people it would seem - well not any who are compassionate or who can read. :rotfl:
Anyway - have you done the necessary and contacted CCS/Payplan? you need to get the ball rolling on this. The sooner you do the better.
And your children need you to stay strong. Kids are resiliant, kids don't need much and all they really, really need is you.
So get in touch with CCCS/Payplan today if you haven't and get your life back on track.
And read people stories one here - if you want to join us on our small friendly thread then we are here - ask anything you want.

And please, please remember. No matter what the banks say, no matter what some of the holier than thou people on some boards say.
Its only b***** money.

Well done on getting up the courage to post
)
Im just starting out on the journey too - Ive gone with cccs and found them along with this forum to be a lifesaver.
I owe around 25.000 debt , married with four children , so your not alone in this situation
Ive made my first monthly payment now and had no fear at all in opening all my post this week
The road I was was just never ending and although my dfd of 2019 seems along way away what was the alternative?
The debts are mine and I must repay them so Ive just got on with really knowing that I cant possibly run any more up on route
I haven't been this happy in years and that''s the truth xLBM 16-06-2012

Hi Marcus
Don't judge your situation by what others are paying. You have different creditors, a different situation.
Your current situation may get better in 6 months, it may get worse in 12. Your creditors could all freeze interest all they could be absolute swines and increase it!
You have to do as i've said to you a few times. Get your budget sorted and you pay with what you have over. Nothing more, nothing less.
So, don't stress about what i'm paying, what mumsnopennies is paying, just sort your payment out and if it takes 5 years or 3 years or 10 years..............it doesn't matter. The main thing is your stabilising your finances and slowly becoming debt free month by month.
Try not to over complicate matters and just learn to live in skintsville with the rest of us.

yep eyeopener2 is correct xx
I would recommend ringing cccs or payplan and speaking to someone asap x
Even after the online decision there is room for movement when you actually speak to them x good luck and let us know how you get on xLBM 16-06-2012
