I'm 23 weeks now and bought 3/4 trousers from H&M for £15, one 3/4 leggings and 1 long leggings(£6 in Asda). I got lots of clothes given though most of the tops are way too big at the moment so I'm just using my normal tops. The only thing I had to spend money on was maternity swimming costume and bras, unfortunately my boobs are still growing:(.0

Maternity leggings from peacocks, have practically lived in them with long tops to cover my ample bum
Jersey trousers from mothercare, usually I'm at size 24 but these are a 20 and fit perfectly
Tops from next
Also do a search on eBay for maternity and your size, I got some lovely things at really good prices as well as a pair of cropped jeans for 9.990 -
Went to the local charity shops & bought elasticated jeans & bigger tops,TBH i didn't envision being size 18/20 for ever after pregnancy!.
Just as well went down to normal 12/14 after the kids, so in my eyes a good cheap spend
Def bought new bra's cos those bobbies change massively - i went from a nice 34c to my now size of 38dd
My feet also went up 2 sizes, so was in flip-flops most of the time!. Hope all goes well hun xNo one said it was gonna be easy!0 -
Im 31 weeks
I've bought:
* a black bump band and a white one from ebay (new) - these were life savers. I've worn my normal jeans all the time, without doing up the flies, but putting a hair bobble round the button, through the button hole and back round the button. Then I wear a bump band over the top. This has saved me a lot of money as I've not bought ANY maternity trousers or jeans
* 1 pair of maternity leggings from H&M for about £8
* 3 or 4 tops from ebay (for about £20 total)
* a plain black maternity vest from Dorothy Perkins
Thats it, and I dont plan on buying any more!0 -
I ended up buying too much but thankfully managed to sell most of it for good money on eBay (a lot was from there in the first place!) I'll know better for next time but I think my most useful/worn items were: Overbump jeans and black stretchy/yoga type trousers (hated the underbump jeans and trousers I had, think this is personal preference though), maternity leggings and tights (M&S ones are fab) and a few maternity vest and short sleeve tops in solid colours or simple designs. I'd also say don't buy everything at once or too early on as every woman is different in terms of how much weight they gain and how their proportions change during pregnancy. I didn't gain much weight as pregnancy really killed my appetite... I was a size 18-20 beforehand so a lot of my normal clothes fit until the very end and DD was born 12 days late!0

I found H&M the most reasonable place for maternity clothes. I think I lived in their vest tops towards the end - nice and stretchy!! (Also, I now wear them backwards as long-line vests over leggings - the extra bit of allowance for the bump at the front is just enough to now cover my bum at the back!!) Next always tend to have plenty of maternity in a good selection of sizes in their sale section on-line too. I would definitely advise to stick to colours that you can mix & match to create different outfits from.

Ages since I`ve been pregnant. but DD2 was and we managed fine with a preganancy bundle of clothes for about £25.00 , some items of which she still wears because they are nice and fold into place around her now slim figure!Debt September 2020 BIG FAT ZERO!
Now mortgage free, sort of retired, reducing and reusing and putting money away for grandchildren...0 -
In a rush so have not had a chance to read other answers, but H&M do some great priced clothes and ebay is fantastic.
I found maternity clothes more flattering and comfortable around the tum.
Just get a few basics to get you through.0 -
I got some under-bump maternity jeans and kahki cargo pants from newlook - great and very comfy.
Tracksuit bottoms in my usual sizes lasted the whole pregnancy.
Dress from tiffany rose as i had a posh event to go to at 30 weeks,
maybe 10 tshirts/vest tops (maternity ones), mostly from newlook. Longer length so still ok with my regular trousers as they covered the gap.
Still wear some of the maternity tops now as i dont like tight stuff over my tum.
Definately get some maternity bras from 35 weeks onwards. Before that i used non-wire regular bras for comfort. Debenhams were great for measuring and they have some good basic coloured maternity/nursing bras. Once i knew what size i ordered some more fancy designs from mothercare online that were in the sales.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -

I bought 3 pairs of these and they are so uncomfortable I do not wear them. They sit below your bump and press on your bladder so you always feel like you need a wee, with these pressing on your bladder from one angle and the baby on another. They also keep falling down.
Mothercare jeans I have found the most comfortable but they are £25ish a pairWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0
