You need to get some written quotes.
I suggest that one is from British Gas, it will doubtless be far more expensive than others, but will give you an idea of what is required and you can use that for comparison.
As you have a 'live gas point' do you have a meter - or a capped supply pipe at the entry to house? One potential problem might be the size of pipe, gas central heating uses more gas, and thus requires a larger pipe than supply to a single appliance(cooker, fire)0 -

Hi we have had a quote of a company called northern heat link , the figure is to be paid over 5 years just dont know if its the best thing to do ! the quote includes 7 radiators and a valiant boiler , the supply coming in is no problem , just maybe need some info on other companies that do this sort of thing where you can buy now pay later , just because we dont have money up front , any info on northern heat link or any other company would be appreciated thanks .0 -
Can't comment about finance supplied by installers, but get an installer who is registered on the A1 scheme via Plumb Center.
You will get an automatic grant of a minimum of £500 for converting from electric to gas.
I would have thought that arranging your own personal loan would work out cheaper for the finance anyway.0
