just a quickie

Afternoon all,

I have got a quick question...

I was looking for some paper work today and came across my contract renewal from September 2011, It states that I received a Samsung SGS2, but I got a Sensation!!!! Now before you all go jumping on me about reading the contract ect I checked that the plan and cost was correct before I opened the phone as it was the sensation I was after and everything was correct, an I never noticed what handset was stated. Anyhow my question-

Is this an issue that it states the wrong handset? as itis incorrect contract could I cancel without charge (not that I want to as I live voda)?

what other if any issues might this cause?

Thanks

NB

Only potential problem would be related to warranty if you needed proof of purchase - but I'm sure Vodafone would help.

No reason to get out of contract.

Nope. Your time to query was on receipt - where you could have demanded the handset stated on the order (not contract, as this is for Service and a SIM). By accepting what they sent you, the bargain is confirmed and concluded, and your liability remains.

You need to sort this out with voda now, rather than try to when a problem arises when it will be a pain.

If you (or the person who they have registered your phone to) report your phone stolen at any time in the future, then they will "block" the wrong one - as they must have a different imei number on record for you.

This is why I asked, I know I should have checked the docs when i got the phone, but the plan, price was correct and as I had asked for a sensation and got a sensation I glossed over the rest.

    Cheers

I don't reckon there is much you can do. If you didn't spot the error when the phone was new there is very little you can do to prove it nearly 12 mths later

Was there an IMEI number on the paperwork and if so does it match the phone or not ?
It's not just about the money
