Buying genuine good value is a wonderful feeling !Roger_Rampant wrote: »The general rule is that the more expensive a product is, the more chance there is that you're being ripped off; or that you buy more expensive products because it makes you feel superior (i.e. snobbery)0 -
Today in the town centre Sainsburys in Exeter they had 8 x 568ml can of Stella Artois at half price = £4.99. Not surprisingly, the shelf had been cleared, but this is worth looking out for. This deal means you get 4304 ml of 5.2 % ABV Lager for £4.99, as opposed to the 3960 ml of 4.8% ABV Lager that you get with the Brahma deal. Obviously, it comes down to a matter of taste and for sure it is nicer to drink lager out of a bottle, but I've drunk both of these and I would personally go for the Stella deal every time.

None left in Salisbury I'm afraid. OH bought some new one by Stella which must have been ok as he drank all 8 cans!
That would be Peeterman Artois. It's not a new one by Stella, as such...it's a new Inbev lager, selling under "La Famille Artois" brand (Stella Artois, Artois Bock and now Peeterman Artois). It's a 4% lager, which is a little weaker than Stella (5%) and is on offer in most supermarkets. It's a nice brew, actually.Stella is always on offer, but be careful. Always work out how much per litre you are paying, as some deals are not as good as others.
Brahma is an Inbev product, too.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

I haven't seen too many good deals on beer recently. I like to stock up on decent stuff when it's under £1.50 per litre but you have to be quick. Sometimes as cheap as £1 (now that's a good deal)0
