I've noticed that most supermarkets regularly have this on offer. I tried it last year (on offer at Sainsbury's), and thought it was awful. Most of the bland, burpy bottles went in the bin.
Hardly worthy of a Grabbit in my opinion - more worthy of a Leave-it.

Why so negative about a genuine post somebody else has taken the time to submit? You're entitled to your opinion but let's not forget that's all it is in this instance, a personal display of palate preference!

To balance your post, I'm happy to say I like most lagers and beers and tried Brahma last year after a post on MSE for an offer at Safeway (as they were then). The 330ml bottles went down a treat on hot summer evenings and I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys the 'amber nectar'.

There's a chance you may not be that taken, but until you try you'll never know and at 42p a bottle it won't be an expensive lesson learnt. However , I guarantee you want be pouring them down the drain... no beer deserves that.

Thanks for the post Tommyj, I'll hopefully pick some up on my travels tomorrow.

Went out and bought the last 3 crates they had left in stock!!! Going back tomorrow early to get a load more... This lager is quality... By far my favourite... Really light and perfect for the summer as previously stated... Thanks for the post!!!

PS When people find offers for Brahma please post them cos at least i'll go out and clear the shelves and I'm sure a few others will too...

Fantastic spot Tommy - cheers. Have been waiting for an offer on Brahma. Unlike above (quoted) poster I actually think this lager is spot on !

I am not a lager drinker normally (prefer stout and bitter) but grabbed some of this stuff last year during the World Cup and was really impressed. Shall deffo be visting my local Sainsbury's (hope it's not just on offer in the North East).

    Cheers.

(Keep an eye out on Netto for this one as they kept putting this on special offer last year on the 24 pack)

Was going to try it last weekend, but the 12s shelf was gorn and empty... (think they were selling 4s for around a quid less... plenty of them left!).

Yeah man thinks the 4's are something like £3.89 each... Trust 12 for 5 squid's a quality deal...
  • Also if you get there late and they have had deliveries and just want the last customers out of the shop you can some of the new delivery - got 3 bottles of famous grouse 25% off the other day and fosters 18 x 2 for £16 - now thats good value !

I like beer cheaper than 80p a litre and 4% or better - this is hard to find, but some good ciders fall into this selection criteria.

Spirits - well the tesco cheap stuff is !!!!!!. Even the £1.30 a bottle of whisky I could get in Thailand is better than that ! Its nice to have a reasonable blended whisky - best thing to do is buy in bulk around xmas !

If you read my post again, carefully, you'll find no negativity regarding the quality of the post - just the quality of the beer. In my opinion. As you rightly suggest, let's not forget that.
