If I'm officially bullish then I can confirm that you are wrong - not all bullish posters come from the South-East, London or Aberdeen.0 -
One quarter is 13 weeks, or 65 working days.
The one day holiday we had to celebrate the queens jubilee represents a 1.5% loss of productivity. Not really surprising then that GDP fell.
Here's what ONS say about the extra days holiday:The change to the bank holidays has been classified as a statistical special event in line with ONS's policy on Special Events. This is not a regular event, so no adjustment has been made to account for it as part of the seasonal adjustment process.0 -

OK my theory is wrong.
You must be the exception to the norm.0 -

I don't think Ian King from The Times posts on here, so won't see your comment.0 -

It does seem that on here you can be classified a bull simply by saying the end of the world is not nigh - all a bit silly really.
I forecasted 0% plus or minus a bit. If that's bullish then I'd guess that makes me part of the norm rather than the exception.
Your prediction falls within my range - maybe you're bullish too.0 -

So you were aiming your comments at Ian King?
Well he might have see them on this hidden and obscure forum with only 18 regular members (including sock puppets) but I'd imagineyou'd have a better chance of him responding to you if you posted on the Times website.
Just a thought. :cool:0 -

Renonman you do realise that the thousands of people registered with MSE can view these pages don't you. Just because they don't post on them doesn't necessarily mean they're not viewing them.0
