    Right... had better get up. Busy day. Negotiations with;
    - the water company
    - gas and leccy
    - Halifax

    and a trip to recycling with last nights crap.

    Also better ring the agent about letting the house.

    (Still tired from yesterday)

    Pretty well Beanie.
    Got the water down to £14 per month and have to give a meter reading at the end of this month to get the gas /electric down. Good news is that I'm in credit on gas /electric so will have a MUCH smaller bill than usual at the start of next month AND I have just received this years loyalty payment of £264 :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

    I think that will help a touch. Will have to feed that into the calculations for next months budget, which was short due to lack of lodger.

    Tried to get lodger to sign the following today.
    'In the event of ....... (my address) being destroyed by fire and found to have no functioning smoke alarms I .........(her name) will pay for reconstruction of the building estimated to be £90,000'.
    She asked if it was a joke. I said, no it's reality if the house burns down and my insurance is invalid because someone has removed all the smoke alarms. So I am now to go and get some more batteries and will talk to my nice female neighbour about Plan B if the alarm starts bleeping. Said neighbour will be allowed to come in and sort the alarm.

    It appears the neighbours hold her in equally high regard. Have fitted a duracell battery and told her to ring me if it starts bleeping. Lets hope the battery is up to the job because she isn't!

    I wonder if she would be like that if she ever bought a house herself

    Beginning to wonder if it is me.
    A house oop north with a lodger in it who doesn't seem to understand house insurance or fire safety.
    Then today back south to a house with a woman in it who likes using expressions like;
    'I'm not racist but...'
    'I tell it as it is'
    'No word of a lie'.
    Basically a lot of confusing opinion with fact.

    Maybe I'm like the 'crap' magnet, attracting nightmare people so other people aren't bothered by them!
