He has his moments. Christmas day I suspect he'll be having one of the other kind and upsetting people! But I think he can see I'm trying. Possibly very trying!
People do have patience when they can see effort. The diz daggy journey to debt recovery continues. Suspect mine isn't going to be an A. Shedloads of debt to B. No debt at all whatsover. Currently debating whether I can stand to not talk to you all every evening and make a £20 or so saving on fitting broadband to the rented property.
Have you thought about mobile broadband?Just one query before I go, cos I'd love to know people's views on this. Shared a room with my friend at the weekend and consumed plenty of . On the last morning she was leaving before me. I went to the toilet on the ground floor because I was fairly sure I was about to produce a disaster. Having had me tell her I was going to the loo downstairs she then used our bathroom to produce a smell so toxic it couldn't even be sealed in with that accident gaffer tape and a couple of padlocks. She said 'Sorry for the smell in the bathroom' and then left.
Is it me? Is this acceptable behaviour in everyone else's book?
What else could she do? Slip it out and then bottle it in those nuclear fuel rod casks?
Ultimately the only thing that will destroy a smell quickly is oxidation i.e flame. However lighting your farts is not de-rigeur, and she would risk travelling home whilst doing a Saturn V impression.Felt like apologising to the maid on the way out.

Is it just me? (I seem to be asking this of myself more recently - which suggests it is!)
Bank balance going down (which as it is in O/D is good), feeling relatively in control, car expenses coming in lower than expected, allowing for expenditure on clothes which are getting worn...and yet.
Bought a purple skirt last week in M&S £25 quid. Wore it three times last week, twice to work and once at the weekend. Also bought a black skirt £15 worn twice last week. Now thinking maybe I should have also got the teal version of the purple.
Can I afford it? Well do have a gas/electric rebait due this month of about £200. But because I have waited I have missed out.- Maybe that's marketing speak?
- Maybe I should congratulate myself on not spending another £25 from a line that doesn't exist in my budget
- Maybe it wasn't meant to be
Judging by the comments of the mechanic last week 'I've never seen this much rust on the underside of the car, none of us have' I should shovel money towards the car at a rate of knots. Having said that the car grew up in Hartlepool and is now about as far from the sea as you can get in this country, so maybe the problem is the mechanic and his experience of the world.
Continuing back pain today. Anyone got cheap solutions?

p.s. The gas bill at home has GONE DOWN so thinking I may need to chip the ice off the lodger when I get up there this weekend.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

Do you really need the skirt? Would you feel guilty if you spent £25 on it? If answers are yes and no then go for it but if not....
As for the back thing I have suffered with sciatica and pilates really helped, as did anti inflammatory painkillers at first from the docs, I find it only niggles now when I stop exercising - keep a strong core and all that. Hope it calms down soon though, can make you really miserable:(Mortgage OP 2025 £6200/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
