    So.....

Now it appears its just waiting. :T
I believe the buyer went to the solicitors yesterday and paid their deposit and signed the paperwork. I'm up on 15th when I need to empty drawers and wrap the pictures. Also need to get the garden bench out of the garden (but not sure how I'm going to do that - it doesn't fit through the kitchen door and down the stairs! [Garden at back on 1st floor level.] I found this out after I had assembled it in the kitchen - DOH! May need help from the neighbours.

I have requested the move happens on 22nd on the basis everyone moves on Friday. Why does everyone move on Friday? Is there any point in everyone moving on Friday? In doing so am I just joining a long queue of lemmings?

Work is a bit manic. Suddenly vast swathes of people have decided they want my help. I'm trying to make sure this doesn't coincide with lots of miles prior to the completion on the house and prior to me regaining a disposable income for tyres, exhausts, bearings and the like!!! Don't think I'm allowed to say 'Can you go away and come back in three weeks' though.

Going to see Sunshine on Leith tonight with a couple of friends. Any good peeps?

Tomorrow is sorting out and tidying day, filing and writing lists of things that need doing. Need to get redirection and storage sorted out next week but may need to sort out finances first with the bank. Hasn't happened today so that may need to happen on Monday.

    The list isn't too bad though;

Pots out of garden and into car
Dig up Potentilla and pot and put in car
    Bench and table into garage
    Clear kitchen drawers
    Flat pack kitchen table
    Clear bathroom cabinet.
Flat pack expedit bookcase (or leave whole maybe???)
Move all boxes to the front of the garage

See, compared to paint an entire house, that's not bad is it?

Has anyone moved flat pack furniture? Is it better reflat packed or left whole?

If I move a Potentilla, will it survive the move?

Looking forward to lots of  and exercise classes :jand :bdaycake:cake and :coffee: and other things that social lives have included and mine hasn't seen for a while. Really really looking forward to a social life.

Right, off to shop for next weeks menu. May try for first NSD tomorrow.

    People move on Friday as:
    1. It's a workday so the removal men are working.
    2. It's the weekend, so you have time to recover before work again.

Though I think I moved on a Wednesday. As you know - I'm just awkward.

It depends how it's put together. If it's put together properly with screws and nails and things like that - leave it whole. If it's IKEA-a-like and held together with "fastenings" - take it apart before it takes itself apart.

I completed here on a Monday but actually moved in the following Thursday as I was in a silly situation where I had sold my old house & immediately rented it back! Long story!

I hardly had any furniture as I moved from a one bed starter home where there wasn't enough room to have a cat, let alone swing it ;)

I bet you can't wait to have a normalise life once this is over, you have done an amazing job to make it through this tricky period :T

Yes there is a choice between paying my dad off immediatly and paying a credit card off immediatly. A friend at work lectured me on this last week. In her view there is only one choice. As she puts it 'You need to get your bl**dy father off your back'.
