Afternoon all
First day of hubby's hols today, by 12ish he'd had 6 phone calls from work. At 12:30 he went to the chiropodist, from there to the local building merchant to buy stuff for work & then to work to deliver purchases, work now owe him £150 & me for the mileage I did for them. His phone is now turned off & will stay that way if I have my way!
Lunch & dinner will be salad, salad & more salad, all HG.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Hi all.
Quick call today. feeling better and able to open my mouth a little wider, it must have been the vodka LW>
Fed my 25 people at lunch - did a posh ploughman's with a couple of yummy puds. Very well received.
I took my courage in both hands and sent off an AF order yesterday. Ordered lots of things for the Drop-in's food bank. We'll see!
Feel exhausted in the heat - like some of you, I don't do heat well.
The rev tucked in to my ploughman's lunch and doesn't feel hungry tonight. Goody! No more cooking for me today. There's plenty of cold homecooked ham and some cheese and salad left over from lunch so I might managed to make that last a couple of days.
Like the sound of that diet Bitsy. It's sensible and easy to follow. I will probably have a go myself.
Right, I'm off to lay my tired self down somewhere.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Evening everyone :hello:
Gosh, it has been so hot here as it has with you all. I'm just not used to it - are any of us?! Maybe I shouldn't be wearing my linen trousers, but then everyone would see my lily white legs
I've spent today with a fellow teacher friend, helping to sort out her classroom for the next academic year. I think that we did quite well, moving furniture around for her new little charges. She then treated me to a lemonade and a mooch around the local shopping outlet where I bought some cheap cards from M&S and a lovely little baby outfit for a friend's new little boy.
I now have a pile of shirts staring at me to be ironed. Happy days!
We have a lovely breeze flowing through the sitting room. Bonus!

Islandmaid: Nah! I couldn't make it to the Queen's do either. Previous engagement. Do you think she missed us? I've got a hat you could have borrowed - was knitted by an old lady with failing eyesight, but it might have done.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Evening everyone
Been mia again, drove up north last sunday to take ds2 to his dads, well he will be there from tomorrow anyway till sat when my dd picks him up to take to eurodisney, then he is going to spend a week there after that. We stayed at my mums and as I came back today they have got him till tomorrow afternoon. I drove back today took a bit longer today about 5 hours, a lot more traffic around. Bit fed up with dh as his last words were I will sort the house. Has he cleaned no, he has enjoyed the sunshine instead, more for me to do tomorrow as we go away friday morning for 2 weeks. I also have my ironing and packing to do too.
