Morning all, glorious here again so Jack and I had a lovely walk. As soon as DD is showered will put on WM and then we have to take kitten to vets. DH is trying to do some tiling in the bathroom but is struggling so a bit grumpy:( Hugs to all in need, glad you are feeling better today Hilstep and glad your Dad has his appetite back RR. Hope you have a good day at the beach JackieO, I'm sure Mickey will be fine, I think what you are doing is the best way to go. Thanks Gintot for the link , may go for a visit with my friends as it's not really DH's thing. Hope everyone has a good day going to attempt to de-clutter back room at least it is on the cool side of the house.:)

    Good Morning All!
Another beautiful day here again. DH, DGD and I have all been out walking the dogs in the park in an effort to get it done before it gets too hot for them. Really enjoying having DGD here!We think DS will be joining us later today so need to get his bed made up. Also want to mop the wooden floors and hoover the carpeted ones - but possibly not too much other HW here!
JackieO I'm sure you're doing the right thing taking Mikey off to the beach again today. Last time she was here DGD had a mishap in a swimming class - and she's adamant she's not going to classes again - but she's happy for me to take her swimming, so we're trying to rebuild her confidence that way.
Hope all those having a rough time for whatever reason find today not too bad. Take care of yourselves.

    Hi all

Hot, hot, hot again this morning – forecast on Cl@ssic fm said it'll be up to 30C today!

Tru thanks for the reminder – egg salad on our meal plan today, so I must get the eggs done.:o

Bitsy interesting diet, that noesdiet thing – it looks much like how I eat anyway, mainly because I find eating extremely tiring. I'm still half a stone too heavy, though.:( Good luck with it, anyways.:o

“Bon appetit” (sp?) to RR's Dad. Glad he's enjoying the food.:o

    Bitsy - Enjoy your holiday!
JackieO - Hope Mikey gets on ok, I'm sure he'll be ok with his granny and mum with him.
    Hilstep - watch that toe.

    Afternoon All (just)

Had a haircut, put 3 loads of washing on the line, hoovered upstairs and nearly packed my bag for later. Just a quick clean of the bathrooms (did a deep clean yesterday) and then just about ready. Oh, need to try to get the grass cut before I go as it will be over a week till I can get it done again.

    Take care. XX

It's so hot again today!! Work is tres tres busy, snuck away for a quick lunch break to check on pup.

Not much planned for today OS wise, lifted jacket potato out for dins to have with BBQ chicken - l/o salad for lunch (fridge much be too cold as some of it was frozen!)

Walk pup later, maybe have a cheeky pint, but trying really hard to be good and stay in! But this weather won't last for ever....

will try and clean the hall way later. Bonus to living alone is it's so much easier to keep on top of the house work! (therefore backing up my claim that he was messy too and it's not just me!)

    Good afternoon Tru and all,

Its not so hot here today but still lovely nonetheless. Ive stripped the beds and the washing is on the line drying. Tea is prepared, sweet and sour chicken with rice for me and my son and i'm just killing time now really.

Hubby wants to spend a weekend in Tenby so i am looking for guest houses. I dont think he realizes how much its going to cost as its in the peak of the season. Probably September would be better on his finances.

Oh and one more peice of news. Its not been confirmed yet but my daughter thinks she is pregnant. I'm the first person she has told (not even her boyfriend) but she cant hold the excitement. Fingers crossed for her and her boyfriend as they are eager to start a family now they have got the house they love.

Good to see your news all, and glad that youve taken Mikey to the coast again JackieO. He needs to get his confidence back and he will only get that back by going back (even if he doesnt even want to paddle).

Hope your day is pleasant ladies and not too hot to cope with.

    Hi Guys!

Its SOOOOO hot!!! My joints and bones are playing havoc atm, so relying on pain killers to get me through.

Dinner tonight is chicken (which is in the Remoska as our oven has blown up!), new pots, salad and crusty rolls. Was going to be a roast but way too hot!

OH has got front and back garden looking lovely and he's helped me outside to have coffee the last couple of days which has been lovely. He's made a ramp for the wheelchair and so that its not too steep to get out the back. We need to do the front of the house but don't want it looking too disabled IYKWIM. In the front garden veg patch we have pots, cabbages, carrots, onions, beetroot, peas (which we've nearly all eaten), salad. We also have apples on the tree and loads of figs growing. Anyone know any easy fig recipes? Already had the strawberries and the raspberries which were delish and OH bought in when I was on the inside :-)

DD has enrolled for her second year of her level 3 diploma. She was debating whether to go or not, but after a "chat" when I was in hospital, she agreed to continue. She's so good at what she's does, it would be a total waste. Her BF has gone straight into FT work with a builder family member and is a training labourer. He's doing well and is a hard worker. At least he's lucky to have a job and experience in the building trade which could give him a good income after some more experience and he's on weigh above minimum wage. DD a little low as she only gets to see him every other week, but we keep telling her she has her whole life ahead of her!

    Anyway, hope you're all okay.

    Hugs.

Bitsy - have a fab hols

Glorious day here again, though it has clouded over now a bit.

Well I've spent the last 2 days going back n forth the hospital for various vertigo appointments. Yesterday I went to see the consultant. Waited 45mins as they were running late, and was in there less than a minute . All they said was that as I am still getting vertigo spells they will send me for an MRI scan. So need to wait for that now. And then today I went for balance therapy. they did some balance tests (I fell over :rotfl:) and just told me to increase the exercises I have been given to twice a day. So not much out of either appt.

I've taken rest of afternoon off work, went to my parents for lunch in the garden, popped to home bargains for some bits, and now going to sit out in the sun.

I went out last night with the girls from work and some Navy guys who were working with us. Sadly they were quite boring! So we left at 10pm! Ah well.

Ooh, I won some Olympic tickets in work. 4 tickets to Ladies Football this Saturday in Cardiff :D

OS wise - WM been on this morning and dried now, not sure on what dinner will be yet.

    Have a good day all
