Why not buy value vodka, all vodka tastes the same IMO....

Oh it doesn't, the more expensive stuff is a much smoother taste. Of course a lot depends what you mix it in. Chuck in a can of red bull and it just kills it anyway :D

Sorry, I always find jokes about alcoholism in poor taste, anyone who's seen first hand the effects tends not to be amused. OP did state:

I paid £17 for the vodka and was going to get £1.70 back on each bottle as Tesco were also selling it at £17 making my cost £15.30 (because Asda promise to be 10% cheaper).
I think that Asda use this promise to make the customer feel all nice about them and think what great guys they are. Lets face it who's really going to bother checking their ordinary shopping for the sake of a few pennies possibly saved and if they do are they going to bother going to the lengths that I am going to if Asda get it wriong - I think not? But when someone like me comes along who has done their homework and bought a shed load they up the price in the pricecheck results of anything of a high value difference ( like my vodka) that they are going to have to pay out in a big way so that they don't have to pay out and hope that I (the customer) will not have the time nor inclination to complain.
How wrong were they this time. I have to send in my receipt with a covering letter and the are going to investigate the matter fully. We'll see. I will report back when I have heard from them. Thanks to everyone.

You not even a consumer you are a business, the deals and price promises are not intended for you. My brothers mate runs a local pub and has since been bared from the local Asda an Morrisons for doing just that.

I'm sure they will be more than happy with your explanation as to what you are doing with all their booze after you complain.

I am totally open and honest about what I do when I go to Asda and they sometimes ask if I'm having a party. I always tell them that I run a Mobile Bar and they are perfectly happy. So much so that they have put my business card up on their staff canteen noticeboard. I am not clearing the shelves by any means and I am not buying an excessive amount of stock. I am also paying the going rate on the bulk of it. My money is just as good as anyone elses in their eyes and it is just a good sale to them and one member of staff explained to me that as long as I wasn't reselling it by the litre bottle or box of beer in a corner shop they were quite happy.
I am a consumer just like you and I am entitled to the same deals and promises as you are as long as I remain within the number of deals allowed they are not the slightest bit interested.
So my friend you are wrong.
Maybe they just don't like your brothers mate...........

A few employees being happy with what you're doing doesn't matter, my stepfather used to buy cheap goods and then mark the price up in his own store, higher ups won't be happy with it.

Your money is business money, you're making a profit on what you buy, your rights are quite the same a consumer buying for personal use.

I am surprised by the response/no response from Asda, I rang them earlier in the week as I had 2 receipts which had 8 and 9 items on and the price guarantee said I had not bought enough items. They had no idea why it came up with this result and so they said they would send me a £5 gift card which was around 10% of both receipts. I also found them to be very helpful and friendly.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
