Accidental inaccurate info on credit check

I recently signed up for Virgin Media because I'm moving into a new place, and when asked for my previous address I stupidly said my parents address because that's where I've been staying for the first part of the summer, and when asked when I moved in there I said as a child (which is also true). I passed the credit check and that was all fine. So, the obvious thing to do is phone them up and say my mistake and presumably it would all be fine.

However.

I signed up to VM on a recommendation from a friend, giving me a discount as a "new customer". I had VM at last year's student house, so if I give them that address I may not be eligible for a discount.

So, my question is...does it really matter that I didn't give them the most accurate address? There's no chance of me not paying my bill, if that's relevant.

Thanks for any help.
