The reason I am on this website is that I had a phone call from an Aims rep today who said that there had been a change in Legislation regarding the mis-sale of bank accounts that charge a monthly fee. He had my name, address etc and managed to convince me to provide him with my Sort Code and Account No. for the bank account that I have held for more than twenty years which has, in the past, been a monthly fee paying account. Something to do with Travel Insurance not being paid out on these accounts and that the monthly fees were vastly more than the the cost to the bank to run. I have no idea whether the Legislation has actually changed and when I said I wasn't happy about giving my bank details over the phone he said that nothing could be done with an Account No. and Sort Code other than pay money into an account. I haven't agreed to pay anything, nor have I disclosed any passwords etc so I am hoping at this point that I haven't been scammed in any way. Does anyone know anything about this or do you have any advice that may be of assistance to me. After reading everyone else's experiences I don't intend to proceed in any way with this company, although I am kind of glad it does actually exist! Thank you.0

I have used AIMS and they have got me £15,000 in charges etc back!! They DO charge 30%...but it was hassle free and thats what I wanted. Took 3 months from start to finish. They've also done my mothers accounts. No scam here as far as I'm concerned!
You must be very wealthy to pay these chancers 30% when you could have done this for nothing.Je suis sabot...0 -
Has anyone heard of this company? My 79 year old mother has been sent an unsolicited pack from these people offering her a Financial Health Check provided she pays them an annual fee of £250. She says she has never heard of them but they have sent her a very official looking contract for her to sign. I have taken the pack from her but she has now started to receive phone calls from the people. They phoned 3 times in one day - my husband gave them short shrift when they phoned for the third time and told them not to ring again. They have an address in Blackburn but would appear to have a registered address in Marbella! To my knowledge they have not phoned again but I wondered if these people are preying on the elderly.

I have just received a letter from the M.O.J stating that as of Dec 28 'Aims Projects Ltd had surrendered thier authorisation to conduct regulated claims management services'...
Hooray !
I have been wrangling with these cowboys for over 12 mnths with regard to a refund of my £250 'member fee' ..... all to no avail so far.... The MOJ had previously advised me that because Aims are in 'breach of contract' I might be able to seek redress through my credit card holder with whom I paid by. So far my credit card co has not ignored my plea and I await their full and final response.
This was a well planned scam and for sure many people paid them £250 a time in member fees.... I know I shouldnt have signed up, I should have read the small print.... BUT they shouldnt pray on vulnerable customers and make over inflated promises of refunded PPI etc etc...:mad:0 -
I have received confirmation today from my credit card issuer that they are willing to re imburse my £250 taken by Aims Review Ltd.
A long and frustrating saga but there is hope to anyone still wrangling with Aims Projects Ltd, I guess... Good luck to you !!0 -
Hi,
Just read your thread and as you say they are not regulated.
How did you claim your fee back from the credit card company as I wish to proceed along these lines if possible.:mad:0 -
Throughout this whole process I had countless lettersmto and from Aims, all copied and shared with Ministry of Justice and further complaints to MOJ all from june 2013 onwards. It was the MOJ who first suggested that i should contact my credit card supplier and I did. Their initial response was 'send all copies of ALL letters'.... Which I did. They responded positively but whilst waiting I received final confirmation from MOJ that Aims had surrendered their licence in Dec 2013, which I guess effectively meant that they,d breached their contract in addition to their wall of silence, hence my credit card did refund. I joined Aims in June 2012, they made me wait until June 2013 for the so called 'end of membership', its taken until last month to resolve. good luck.0

They are con artists who prey on the elderly and confused.
They are not contactable but they pass their PPI claims to Aims reclaim.
Aims Reclaim can be contacted but say they have no connection with Aims review despite having (until recently)the same postal address and the same logo on paperwork.
Paperwork clearly states they will pay back the £299 fee after a year if unsuccessful. The year was up in December but still chasing them.
Phone or email don't get answered. anyone know a contact for them?0 -
Send all copies of your correspondence plus a full letter of explanation to the Ministry Of Justice who regulate claims management companies.
They maybe able to advise a way forward for you.
How did you originally pay your membership fee ? If by credit card, ask your card issuer for advice.0
