Does your father claim DLA (Care) and, if so, at what rate?0

You wouldn't need to, but you could0

You need to make a claim for carers allowance, when you get the award letter sign off of JSA. You can then also claim a top up from Income Support to make the payment up to the same as JSA. You cannot be in payment of JSA and Carers allowance together.Skint but Debt Free at Last :T0

That's lucky!;)0 -
You have a number of options you can
a) continue to claim JSA and claim Carer's Allowance, let the Jobcetre know that you are a Carer and have claimed Carer's Allowance (they should adjust you JSA Agreement to take into account that you have caring responsibilities). If you do this you need to let the Jobcentre and the Benefit Centre know when you have been awarded CA so that they can adjust your benefit or
b) claim Income Support and Carers Allowance now (and sign off JSA from the day you claimed IS) on the grounds that you are regularly and substantially caring for your father, you need to let them know that you have claimed Carer's Allowance and notify them when it's been awarded so that they can adjust your benefit or
c) claim Income Support ( and sign off JSA) when you have been awarded Carer's Allowance on the ground that you are a Carer.0 -

Absolutely. If he falls out of bed/needs bedding changed/help to the toilet and it is over the 35 hours then tough! He'll have to wait until the new week starts.0
