Tailgaters are providing good business for the whip-cash scammers. The scammers don't even bother with their 'braking on roundabouts' trick anymore which is fantastic news for innocent victims. In my view it's great that they now target the idiots who tailgate. :T

Surprised at the minority of posts claiming the victims of tailgating should examine their own driving. Perhaps it is they who should examine their attitudes on the road. You aren't losing as much time as you think. ;)

I find that simply obeying the speed limit is enough to attract tailgaters. I guess that makes me unfit to drive? :rotfl: :p

Unless they are in an overtaking lane uneccesarily, in which case they should move back in as soon as possible to lanes 1 or 2 as appropriate

    I agree :):)

Yes, me too, and I am not an obsessive limit watcher, I have been caught out slightly over the limit (speed, don't drink alcohol) myself

Can't believe people are honestly saying everyone else should look at their own driving if they're getting tailgated :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    What utter bollox.

Oh your totally right, to suggest that anyone, in any circumstances, should take into account what other drivers is clearly utter bollox

When you're being tailgated by some c**t who can't keep his distance.

I think I've been fairly specific all the way through this thread. Whereas you've now started twisting my words to fit your bonkers argument that people should question their driving skills because they get tailgated twice a week.

Like I said, doing 60mph on the motorway isn't illegal. Tailgating will get you pulled if you're spotted doing it. That in itself speaks volumes.

From a different point of view here, us van drivers are not allowed to follow NSL as there are different speed limits for us, yet on a daily basis I have at least one tit up my rsend flashing headlights etc and thats because I am sticking to the speed limits.

    For their benefit

    A main roads cars = 60 vans = 50
    Dual carriageways cars 70 vans = 60
    Motorways cars = 70 vans = 70
You may click thanks if you found my advice useful

According to martinthebandit YOU should alter the way YOU drive so that you don't get tailgated.

    Just sayin' ;)
