    Afternoon everyone.

Decided I have nothing to wear for hols so popped to supermarkets for quickness. Well half the stuff is for ruddy autumn :eek: what's left of the summer stuff is in the sale and there isn't anything worthwhile there :(

Anyway have come home, put WM on, hoovered the car and now want to lie down and melt!!!

Tea will be the pork steaks we should have had last night (H ended up eating out with his ad last night). Might make some more chocolate ice lollies :D

Hugs and spoons all round x

Tru hope toe is better ASAP, that Daisy is better soon too xxx

Butterflybrain hope you get some sleep xxx

tru You shouldn't kick Mr tru that hard a-wink.gif

Went to Aldi again this morning and they had run out of wraps yet again, I wish I had bought more yesterday :( I picked up more lettuce, spring onions and baking potatoes they had all their Strawberries reduced to £1.25 :D

I have changed my mind on dinner and we are now having Jacket potatoes, corn on the cob and sausages cooked on the barbecue and I will do a side salad and make a quick coleslaw as well for tonight. Followed by Strawberry Eaton mess and washed down with a nice glass of wine or three :D
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hilstep you rant away, honey, if it helps; but you know, I'm so worried about these falls you keep having.:( Is there anything you can do to help you stay upright a bit better - strategically placed furniture to grab if you feel yourself going or something? That's what I've done - there's things at "grab height" around the bungalow, and I've sort of trained myself to go for them if I feel my knees going out from under me.

I know, you're probably doing all you possibly can, I'm just concerned for you, is all. Have a (((HUG))) anyway.:o

    Afternoon all,

Just having something to eat and a coffee, late today, but I've been into town to go on the market.I wanted some strawberries to make jam with-I didnt make any last year and we missed it.My favourite stall had them at 75p per lb.Also bought some leeks to chop in the food processor with carrots and celery to freeze in portions-I use that mix a lot and its all gone,a big bag of red lentils.3 bags of sugar at 65p each in the new FamBargain store,so my stock cupboard is building up.
Another wash has finished ,so will pop that out in a mo.We dont have brill sunshine, but it is warm. Some form of salad for tea,not decided yet, apart from making some coleslaw-very popular here.

    Aaaaww-hilstep,sorry you've been falling again,bet you're black and blue.
RR-hope Dad eats his sandwich and feels better soon.
    Tru-ouch !

Hi all. Glad you're all alive and kicking, even if tru shouldn't be kicking so hard it seems.

I'm suffering today. Come everyone..."Ahhhhh". No, louder than that.
    "AHHHHHH". That's better.
I had a wisdom tooth out yesterday at the dentist. It's not as bad as I feared but very sore and uncomfortable today. I only had 2 stitches in my gum and am obediently taking the AB's and Arnica tablets and rinsing my mouth with warm salt water as instructed. Was also read a lecture on taking life easy and resting as much as possible for the next few days. Now, that is the sort of advice I like. Sadly I'm doing lunch for 25 tomorrow so the resting is not entirely possible.

I don't know what the rev is eating but I am eating soft egg sandwiches cut into tiny squares and fed cautiously through the narrow slit of the bit of my mouth that actually opens.

Sod's Law isn't it that the good weather finally arrives when I can't take advantage of it. My garden hasn't been weeded since early spring and we have visitors arriving next week, one of whom is a fanatical gardener. My reputation is set to sink even lower.

JackieO: That was a terrifying thing to happen. I also have a fear of water having been practising my strokes in the sea as a child with DF supporting me and he suddenly let me go. He came from a family of boys and that is how he was taught to swim. Since then I have only been able to swim if I could put one foot on the floor. So shallow end only. Hopefully, with your help Mickey will get over his fright.

Adelight: Now you can make your fortune. Pack your vacuum and Marigolds into your car and tour the country cleaning our houses. Can I be your manager? I'm very cheap, or so the rumour goes.

Hilstep: Do take care lovey. I know that Incredible Hulk feeling when you feel that you are going to burst out of your clothes at any moment. Do you think we should get together and and form our own mutual support slimming club?

I'm off to have half an hours rest before starting to make puddings for tomorrow.

Enjoy the sun before it disappears again.

A dry day here, all the washing dried on the line for a change, but not hot like some of you, I am very envious!

Cleaners came today and my living room and hall are sparkling! They took away the furniture from the upstairs bedroom so I have been going mad with the paint roller this afternoon, one more coat this evening and then it will do. They will come and clean the carpets when they bring back the furniture and hopefully that's it done. Just the painter to come to do the high wall in the hall but he's not coming for a couple of weeks yet.

Sausages and veg for tea with baked pot for DD too, trying to use what's in the fridge as we are going to Wales for a few days tomorrow. Having a haircut first thing and then will pick DD up from work at 6 and head down, roads should be fairly quiet then.

Hilstep - Take care of yourself, hope the docs get to the bottom of what's causing the falls.
FB - Have fun with the Navy!
Tru - Hope the toe's better soon, sounds painful.
RR - Hope your enjoys the sandwich.

Hugs to anyone else in need.

Off to cook the dinner. Take care. XX

Just wanted to pop in and say - Hilstep - rant away as much as you like if it makes you feel better :)

Rosyred - that is such a simple but brilliant idea re the leeks carrots etc - definitely going to do that myself:D

Loong day at the office today! Worked 8-6 and still so much to do!

My MD called and said he might need me to go back to one of the other offices next week as they are short staffed and I'm the only other person that knows what to do!

Tried to walk pup and failed as I got eaten alive by midges, even though I put repellent one!! So have come home for a bath and cool down instead.

Too hot to eat....but might make a big pot of pasta salad. Either that or Fish and chips - running out of options in my freezer right now!!

Monnagran, mix in a glass: 1 large measure vodka. 1 standard bottle tonic water. Add ice. Add a wedge of lime. Place straw in glass. Insert top end of straw in tiny gap in mouth that actually opens. Much better than salt water.;):D:D:D

Well, that was fun.... Ted's had a bath.:o We had to do this last time he stayed; he has a skin condition that needs treating with special shampoo from the vet, twice weekly, so we get another go on Saturday. But I'm glad we remembered to strip down to underwear, as he did his level best to drench us.:rotfl:
