Morning everyone :hello:
Managed to put a wash on already, but I'm sitting on the sofa now. Really must get up and wander into town as I need to visit the butcher.
Last night's supper was turkey stir fry, using yellow sticker meat. A nice change actually.
Still got loads of sorting out to do, books to put away and/or take to the charity shop. I think an overhaul of meal plans is also required as I'm very good at cooking the same things and only occasionally doing something new. Obviously there are all the wonderful ideas on here, so I'll have a trawl a little later.
Must crack on. Have a great day everyone

Morning all, glorious here again, it's so nice to get up to sunshine. Have been reading but not posting as I've had a nasty bug, spent all of Saturday in bed with the dog and kitten for company. First day today without a headache so very happy. Not much OS today, have hung out 2 loads of washing, no more to do ...yet!!! Off out with my friend for lunch and a look at a new patchwork shop, think I might be buying some fabric:j Hugs to all in need, have a good week with Ted LW hope Mickey gets his confidence back JackieO a frightening experience for you all. Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Morning all
Gloriously sunny here
Bit gutted as my work kids are all off gorge walking today, with some invited Navy guests but I have to go to the hospital this afternoon to see the consultant about my vertigo so I'm missing out on the fun. But we are taking the Navy guys out tonight for a few drinks
should be entertaining!
Nothing OS wise today, other than popping home to make lunch before hospital appt.
Have a good day all

Morning all.
Hubby taken today and tomorrow off work to enjoy the weather so he set off early this morning with DD3 for the coast. I've stayed at home to look after the dog. He does not appreciate hot days walking around seaside towns.
I shall shortly be tackling a pile of ironing, in the shade, in the garden. Love ironing in the garden, makes it more bearable. A little cleaning in the house then I shall chill in a cool place and catch up with MSE.
Tea tonight shall be salmon fillet, salad, new potatoes and homemade coleslaw.
Enjoy the lovely day xGrocery Challenge - Sept £205.56/£350.000 -
hi Miffy
The lavender farm is called www.somersetlavender.com. BA3 5WA for the satnav. It is quite small but they have a cafe and a little shop and plant shop. quite good place to take elderlies for a trip too. Lovely lavender ice cream and very peaceful. It is not far from Radstock.
Hope you enjoy it.
Just had a call...new bed coming in about half an hour. Woo hoo!

Good Morning all from a very very very hot Essex
Sorry to hear about what happened to Mikey Jackie, the sea is so treacherous.
Had a good day at the beach yesterday (with the world and his mother). Today need to take little cat to the vets for his last injection then drop DD off at the hairdressers later, she is having a cut and colour and not looking forward to sitting there for ages in this heat.
Going to try and keep cool today, a couple of loads of washing to do but will leave the ironing for a cooler day.
Will be having barbecue for dinner, think will pick up some hotdog rolls when I drop DD off.
Have a great day all.x0 -
JackieO
I hope Mikey will get over the scare but so glad things were not worse. It is terrifying how quickly things can change.
DD got home from holiday in the early hours and is still asleep.
Once I hear she is awake will make sure she is looked after as she got sunburnt and is shattered. Her case has been divested of laundry which is now whizzing in machine in orange scented Bold and will be hang out as soon as cycle finishes.
Chicken thighs have been poached and are cooling ready to be de skinned and boned for tonight. Might do curry or a salad with them.
Neighbour gave DH a home grown cauli so making cauli cheese for lunch with yesterdays spag bol to go with it. Have warned DH he needs to drive me to A**i some time this week as I love their new curry sauces and need lots of veg and fruit and chicken and bits and bobs and I save so much money going there.
DH is happily pottering in the garden and I am having a cuppa and a browse on here rather than be in the heat.
Hugs to all feeling poorly and having a hard time and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Morning all.
Gosh, it's hot again; I have a load of Mr LW's clothes out on the line - took me an age to peg them up with my dodgy shoulder, but we got there eventually.;)Gintotmelinda wrote: »LW have a good week. Ted sounds a sweetie. We met a very handsome minature Schnauzer on Sunday at the lavender farm near Bath. He was grey(salt and pepper?) and his name was Bertie. Three years old. OH fell in love instantly!Daisy chick still has an infection so we're giving her antibiotics and painkillers (syringed into her mouth) and cleaning her mouth out every day with Metacam (which is actually for dogs!). She seems happy enough though. Fudge chick is refusing to eat atm, there's nothing wrong with her, I think she's just jealous of all the attention Daisy's getting, lol. So I'm syringing yogurt and mashed up food into her twice a day then telling her to get out and do chickeny things
I've managed to break my toe so I'm limping on both sides :rotfl: Pretty sure I look like a penguin when I walk. Once the greenhouses are sorted, I'm going to take it easy for the day.
JackieO how's Mikey doing today? It's so important he doesn't completely lose his enthusiasm for swimming - I never learned to swim, although I did get extremely good at finding ways of avoiding the fortnightly swimming lessons, even deliberately falling down a flight of stairs a couple of times, such was my horror of the swimming pool. Wolfy strength vibes for the lad, to help him put the awful experience behind him.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
