Well done, good resultI found this on seller central. It's in response to a seller saying that their buyer is claiming INR.
And this post seems to assume that the buyer is a "scammer".
Actually that is my impression of the community boards as well, every buyer is a scammer . I don't actually share Crowqueens optimism about the advice on the community boards at all, there are some real shockers on there.
I would however use the community boards, using a posting ID, if I had a really specific question to ask.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. There are some very sensible posters as well, and all INR threads that I scanned on there today had correct advice that sellers need to fulfill their responsibilities. Later on in the thread I took that quote from someone called that advice 'disgusting' or something similar.0 -
Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
Should OF, would OF. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.0 -
Yep, she's dinged my stars. 3* for item as described and 3* for P & P charges.
How can she mark me down on item as described when she didn't get them ?
Ebay customer services here I come (again)You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

If it's the poster who is an admirer of a particular singer who died in the spring
, her advice is not representative of the general thrust of posting over there. It's got a bit better since earlier on in the summer, but the number of sellers who haunt the buyers' board just to tease people with a problem (e.g. "OP is on my BBL" "mine too") is a bit worrying - the lack of active moderation of some of these people means if I had a buying problem I'd probably come here than post there. @CM - I agree with you in a way, but I doubt eBay CS would be interested, as they are not lows, and not on a positive feedback."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
