Travelex Cash Passport - Charge to load it by credit card?

Going on holiday on Wednesday & left this a bit last minute!
Looking to order a Travelex Cash Passport & would ideally like to 'load' it using a visa credit card rather than a visa debit card as I have just started a new job & won't be paid until we are away. The T&C's aren't completely clear to me as it says we might be charged by the credit card company for using it - has anyone been charged before? Will the credit card company see it as a cash withdrawal rather than a purchase?
Any help greatly appreciated!

normally banks treat loading a card the same as buying actually currency.

Sorry, I'm not very with it this evening! So MBNA credit card would treat this as a cash withdrawal & charge us interest on it? Barclays debit card also list a fee - so they would charge too? How do you load a prepaid travel money card without incurring a fee then?0

I've just rung MBNA who said it would be treated as a retail purchase but I'm nervous as they weren't 100% sure what a Travelex cash passport was at first.0

All UK banks except for Lloyds and Co-op/Smile have now stopped charging this for debit cards. AFAIK the two that do still charge will stop later this year.
Most prepaid cards can also be loaded by bank transfer, although it tends to take a few hours to arrive.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -

Well I don't believe what MBNA have told you. Travelex will process it as a cash advance. They are not going to give away all their margin on the sale in merchant fees to the card issuer.
Their agent was either plain wrong or misunderstood what you were buying - most likely the latter.0
