Upgrade Checklist
Hi all,
My current contract ends on the 25th August, and therefore I am able to look at my upgrade options from the 25th July. Currently on a £15.86/month with T-Mobile. Would prefer to stay with this tariff as it offers me 300mins, 300 texts, unlimited internet (2Gb web'n'walk I believe) and unlimited 01,02,03 numbers,
Problem is I want a much better phone than my current HTC Wildfire. Looking at Galaxy S3, iPhone 4s and HTC One X.
Just after a checklist really to help me negotiate the best deal possible with T-Mobile or where to look for alternative deals.
Thanks

Your contract will only end if you provide your network with notice of termination - worth stating if you feel under any pressure. As for the best deal?
Easy, avoid commitment and purchase any handset you choose SIM free, and obtain a PAYG or Monthly SIM contract - this lets you switch providers if your circumstances change, as there is no onerous minimum commitment, or danger to your credit file because of unplanned events.0 -
From other threads I've read, does requesting a PAC code count as a notice to cancel the contract?0

Once you've found what you need from another network ring up T-Mobile and get your PAC.
You will then get a call from retentions, quote the deal you found to them and get them to beat it. If they can't, leave.
Make sure you specifically ask if there's any limits on data, T-Mobile are selling people unlimited browsing without telling them it has a download/streaming limit which can be as low as 250Mb. Also beware of T-Mobile adding a notice period charge to your bill, there's nothing in their terms that allows them to do this and it's a blatant rip off in my opinion.sb12 wrote:From other threads I've read, does requesting a PAC code count as a notice to cancel the contract?
Deals can be found at phonestore.techradar.com (same as o mio), http://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/contract_phones/ and https://www.moneysupermarket.com/mobile-phones0
