Orange - PAYG - Magic Numbers

Hi
I'm wanting to get a PAYG SIM on Orange and hopefully use magic numbers. I've been chatting online to a sales advisor at Orange this evening who advised me that, irrespective of the amount of top up, as long as my account is in credit by at least £5.00 then magic numbers will still work and be free.

I can't believe that this can be right? Can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks
Ms Choc x

One of my phones is PAYG from Orange. They keep sending me txts saying that if I top up with at least £10 every month I will get the magic numbers.

I don't need them on this phone though, as I have them all on my contract phone.

So I would check with them again.

Min £10 top up per month and it's 25p for up to an hour at a time.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

Thanks to you both; I thought it was too good to be true.

Does anyone know, if I go on one type of PAYG animal plan, is it possible to change to a different animal plan later.
