I used www.economycarhire.co.uk for years with no problems.
If you log in on their site you can see you will actually supply your car & more importantly what the fuel policy is.
Whatever you do DO NOT book with Goldcar.....do a google on them
    horrendous problems.
Plus the fact at Murcia San Javier the queue to collect your car is sometimes 30 to 40 people long....might take anything up to 2 hours to collect your car !!!!
Look out for all the 'scams'
    Pay in euros NOt GBP
Try for full /full on fuel or you will pay 75 euro for a tank of fuel for a Ford Ka !!
When you drop off the car take pics all around the car & or the fuel gauge / mileage.
    And all the rest.................

Same question here, absolute minefield hiring a car in Spain. I've done it several times and never failed to be shocked. So I'm trying to find the best way for this trip in August.

You would be well advised to take out extra insurance & it WILL be on top of the price quoted.
Read the terms & conditions carefully.
If you hire abroad more than once a year have a look here.....it is extremely good value compared to what the car hire companies will charge you in the airport.

  • I use https://www.skyscanner.net/car-hire/ , who seem reasonably priced.
