Bump2babe.co.uk - help

I put an order in with this website on 14 March. Their sites says delivery can take upto 14 days (if items from a certain company have been ordered, which I haven't), but the testamonials comment on very fast delivery. When I put the order in requested that if possible they try to get it delivered by 24 March as I'm going away and need some of the items I ordered to go. They took the money from my account the following day, but so far I haven't received my order. I tried phoning them on Wednesday, but the telephone number doesn't work so I emailed them to ask for a delivery tracking number (which it says you can do on their website). Upto half an hour ago I still hadn't had a response and their telephone number still isn't working.

Has anyone had any experiences of this company good or bad, just getting a bit concerned that I can't contact them and they have taken my money.

I've bought with them a few times through their ebay shop. I've had excellent prompt service and no complaints so far.

Sorry to hear you have had problems. Hope you manage to get something sorted out.

Well just to let everyone know I have still been unable to contact this company by phone or email and so I have started a chargeback through my credit card company.

Incidentially their ebay shop has been closed.

Avoid buying from the website aswell if I were you in the future.

Sorry to hear that. Hope the credit card company manage to get your money back for you.

I feel awful now as I've recommended the company on the pregnancy thread, but I won't be recommending them anymore.

  • I also placed an order with bump2babe on 14 March. I received the usual confirmation emails including the one stating that they were taking my money the next day. Last Friday, 30 March, I was concerned that over 2 weeks had gone by so went onto their website and was slightly concerned that the quoted number was disconnected. So I contacted them via the website and so far have not had a response. When I got home on Friday, there was a parcel from bump2babe, but it only contained 1 of the 2 items I had ordered though the delivery slip implied it was supposed to be a complete order. Yesterday I chased them again, from my email account this time so I can monitor it, and have not yet had a reply. I've even been onto the BT website to see if I could find a more up to date contact number, but with no luck. It seems to me that the customer service is entirely deficient and that its a bit of a half hearted attempt to run a business.
Update before I even finish - I was going to tell you that they also have an ebay shop, did have quite a lot of positive feedback on delivery etc, but I just hopped back onto ebay to check and the shop is now closed!!!!!!!
Looks like they've done a runner with our money.
Bit !!!!!! taking advantage of pregnant women like that!!!
Not sure if there are any ways of getting the money back now as, certainly in my case, I'm missing an item worth less than £20......

I dont know the company but if they have had good feedback & recommendations in the past it would seem that they have problems rather than they are 'taking advantage' - probably a 'Bit !!!!!!' for the employees too!
I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I Know

Well I still haven't had anything delivered and my order was for 7 items totalling £45. Their ebay shop did have a tiny comment that they were away between 24 Feb and 24 March on a family holiday and orders wouldn't be sent until 27 March, but nothing on their website, which is still up and running, although their phone number still doesn't work.

I've given up expecting to receive anything from them (very gutted as I ordered some lovely clothes) and have contacted my credit card company to arrange a charge back, which they have said I have a very good chance of getting so at least I won't be out of pocket.

Its worth calling the credit card company you paid with to see what they can do about it. I'll also be reporting them to trading standards.

Its a family run business, from what I can gather on the website and AboutMe page on ebay so no employees to think about and I think they are taking the pi$$.

  • yes, I have also ordered from this company and three weeks on I still haven't received anything. I have sent them 3 e-mails but so far received no reply. The phone number is not working and I am very concerned that I won't receive anything or get my money back. I have paid with a debit card and I am not sure if I can get my money back. I will be contacting the Office of fair trading as I think it's terrible that they continue to take money off people.

I actually received part of my order about a week ago, but it was all crumpled and looked like it had been shoved in the bag without a thought. There was no note saying when the remaining part of my order would if at all be arriving. Its too late for me know and I want to send it back as I have bought alternative clothes elsewhere.
I contacted Trading Standards yesterday, they gave me some really good advice on what to put in a letter to them including which legislation to quote and told me to give them a deadline for a response. If I don't receive a response or refund by the time the deadline happens then I'm to call trading standards back and they will investigate further.
If enough people contact Trading Standards with complaints about them, they will have to do something.
  • Hi

I too placed an order with Bump2babe for just under 50 pounds on the 16th of April and received only one part of my order. Like others have said they don't reply to e-mails and their telephone number is not recognised. I took the advice of one of the posters here and phoned trading standards who helped me with what to put in writing to the company. I don't hold out much hope of getting any response or getting my money back as I (stupidly!!! ) paid by debit card. Will wait to see what trading standards advise next, when the time lapses for the company to reply to my letter.
