solar powered storage heaters?

Do they exist?
We have just moved to a little house and a woodburner will keep most of the house warm, as there is no mains gas available. We are going to do a loft conversion, and I'm trying to figure out how to keep it warm.
Is it possible to store solar energy? Is there such a thing as a solar powered storage heater ( where the energy would be stored in the bricks and released slowly?). I'm not so interested in solar energy heating the water, as we would need whole new boiler system and works...
I know there are systems where the woodburner heats radiators, but I have lived in a house that used this in the past and the problem was that it was freezing in the morning!
Any suggestions welcome....
Thanks.

Been an electrial contractor for 30 years, the answer to your question is as above.
I am asked frequently concerning the generation of heat from other sources, but the cost of setting-up any type of system is simply uneconomic for most people

You might find that a loft conversion will not need any extra heating.
If you remove the insulation off the loft floor and make sure that the roof is very well insulated I dont think you will need any extra heating.0
