What's that paint stripper paster called?

  • i agree - can turn into a very labour intensive job. I found the best (and quickest way) to use a heat gun first with a quality scraper, then use nitromors with fine wire wool to go over the remaining paint. a few applications is necessary to get rid of everything usually, but the results are excellent. Nitromors is powerful stuff though, always wear thick gloves and work in a well ventilated area. hope this helps;)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I just had a decorator round who quoted me £80 per day & said it would take him about 1 day to do 2 doors using a heat gun & Nitromors. Does that sound about right in terms of time? Price wise, that seems to be the going rate as I had another guy quote me £100 per day & 1 1/2 doors per day. I just wasn't sure how long it should take in time to do a good job.

all new architrave would be less than a 100 quid. say a day to replace them.
and a heat gun on the frames would be dirt cheap. but takes time. say a days work. final scrape with a proper edge scraper. and a quick sanding down.

so i reckon 300/500 quid max, to get someone in.

i wouldnt have nitromors inside a habited house.
    Get some gorm.
