Short term BBand contracts?

Hi all!
Just moved in to a recently deceased relative's flat, until it sells. Could be a few months and I'll need some inet access - my Orange phone only gets a tiny signal in one corner of the kitchen. There is a live BT land line and wireless router which I don't know anything about.
A few years ago I remember getting a Virgin Broadband deal which was month-to-month. Does anyone still offer short term contracts? Shortest I can find is 12 months. Also, as an Orange customer, can I claim a discount for their bband and get cashback through the site as well as this may offset having to pay for 12 months. Alternatively as everything is there already, would I be better off just revitalising the BT service in my name?
Cheers!

Zen do monthly contracts on their 'Business' broadband service. I'm not sure why it's called business but that's their marketing i guess...
