Overheating Samsung phone

My (less than 2 month old) Samsung Galaxy Note phone OVERHEATS - it gets too hot to touch around the camera lens (directly above the processor) plus it loses it's charge within 6 hours
I have checked Samsung UK website and no mention is made of this.....
I also checked Samsung US website and this is a recognised fault

I emailed Samsung UK who want me to return the device to their service centre for checking - I am not happy with this - since I paid over £190 to tmobile for it - and assume that it is down to the reseller to sort this out ...
Also, if I did return it to Samsung - how long will they keep it for ?
Added to this, my local tmobile staff are not technically savvy !!

If you return it to T-Mobile they will probably just sent it to Samsung anyway as its under warranty. Have you contacted T-mobile about it?

I have been in touch with Tmobile support via Twitter - they give me the option of either - but which should I pick ?

I would ask whether they would do anything themselves or just send it to Samsung and ask for timescales or both options and go with the quickest option
