Morning all..............it was bright earlier on but its gone dull and overcast. Have to go and collect a sc ript from Boots and get a bag of spuds from the market, so will be off after I have drunk my coffee.

Again OH stood me out that something was in the garage when I knew it was in the kitchen. He went out to the garage and siad, there is a bag missing from the garage, oh yes what was in it.....well I told you last night it was in the kitchen!!!! off he went in a huff, yes the bag was in the kitchen.

When we get back I am going to bring the craft table down and photograph it in the garden, then if said friend does not want it, I will put it on ebay.....can't wait forever for her to make up her mind if she wants it, I still have a lot of stuff that will not fit into the apartment to get rid of. Recycled 2 cream lamps yesterday, have 2 more on now, must have a look and see if they are there.

    Right off to the market....................

My housemate went out last night so I had a chance to clean up his mess while he was out, clean the kitchen, start the dishwasher and tidy all his crap in the lounge, the palce was gorgeous by the time I'd finished :j

This afternoon I'm driving my mate down to Bristol to pick up his new (old) mini, think we might take my car as today's a good day to put the top down

If people are dishing out hot guys then I'd like Brad Pitt, I think he'd be a good laugh down the pub :rotfl:

Elaine - Tell your DD to go down to a few temping agencies, that's what I did in the holidays at uni. £4k sudent loan + £2k from holiday working was good for me as my folks couldn't afford to support me, taught me to stand on my own two feet and look after myself financially :)

Hi all.. I'm fairly new to OS and am normally lurking round DFW but am now addicted after everyone helped me with toad in the hole last night! Can someone explain what this malarky is all about then? I've got the thrifty ways for modern days book and read it cover to cover but just can't find enough hours in the day to be cleaning/baking/cooking from scratch with a toddler and newborn baby to look after! How do you all manage it!?

    Morning all

The plam for today includes finish tidying the lounge. It has become a bit of a dumping ground (as has every other room in the flat!) and I really want to get it sorted and the chaos is driving me spare. I found some lovely leather style boxes in Wilkos yesterday and bought a few but have since decided that I need another 4 and the clutter will be packed away in boxes and I won't have to look at it every day!.. Not sure I like the idea of carrying so many boxes on the bus again...

Hae the biggest pile of washing to get thru, I'm surprised I could cobble an outfit together all week. Will be using TD as it's grey, miserable and gloomy here in sussex and I can get away with not putting the heating on if i use it.

Kitchen is spotless as I did that last night, might get in there and do some batch cooking later depending on how well I do with the lounge and bedroom.

    Have a nice day guys

    Morning :hello:

Busybusybusy this morning so not really had the chance to read the thread in detail.

charlie's mum - can't see your photo as our office's security software blocks external pics and graphics. Will have to have a look tonight. Same goes to you smokybabe - if you ever think I'm ignoring you, it's just cos I can't see any of your graphics :(

immoral_angel - you don't have to do all the Old Style stuff, in fact if you did it all at once it would probably be a bit overwhelming especially with two littlies. Try a few of the tips and see which ones work for you - and don't worry about the other ones. There was a thread yesterday about people's "non Old Style guilty secrets" - read it and you'll see that very few of us are completely OS ;)

Good news for CCstar and scuzz about houses/flats, and I hope you're feeling better soon Penny-Pincher!!

Am currently sitting at work waiting for an IT consultant to come and tell me he has fixed the data set I am supposed to be working on for some things that I've been told must be finished in two hours time  After workI have to drop in on the youth project I'm helping with, then race back into town as I have a £5 standing ticket for an opera at Covent Garden. I am so busy that I've promised to ring my mum during the interval of the show, as it is the only chance I will get :o She is supposed to be staying at mine tomorrow night, and I need to know whether she will be OK sleeping on the sofa bed or whether she needs my bed (she has some back problems, and when she stayed with me for 3 nights I gave her my bed, but for one night she might say the sofa bed is OK which will mean I don't have to swap all the bedding around - or indeed tidy my bedroom which is the messiest part of the flat ;):o)

Aaaaargh, I don't even get a lie in tomorrow - I had to reschedule my singing lesson from Monday evening due to having to drop in on the youth project. So no bucket of tea/dressing gown/slippers/Saturday Kitchen. Then will be racing back home to make the flat look half respectable (!) prior to inflicting it upon my mother...

I have three huge leeks in my fridge that have been there for almost a week so must check the state of my spuds with a view to making a batch of leek and potato soup.

I am so pleased it is almost Easter. Four whole days "off". Of course that's not really true when you are a professional church singer as I am, and have to sing services every day over the Easter period  Still, it will give me three lie-ins in four days... bliss!!!!!!!

    See you later

    Love Rzl xx

I think if it's for charity you might be allowed to keep it but I believe you're supposed to ask first... perhaps I am wrong though...

    Morning.

Well, I've just sat and slobbed for nearly 2 hours. Dropped kids off and discovered "Random Harvest" on TCM. One of my all time fave films. So I sat and knitted and had a good weep. Soppy. didn't get all the housework done, but I did get a front of DDs cardigan finished.

Trying not to think about dentist at 12:30. Root filling today, never had one, and I'm dreading it! Coward that I am.

Off to clear up and maybe make some weetabix brownies. I'll not be able to eat them after the dentist, but I can sniff them

Oh and I managed find a dance class that will take DD. She's only 2 1/2 but desperate to go to "Ballet dancin'" so I shall be hero mum tomorrow. It's not ballet as such, but she's not to know the difference.
