Thanks to all the replys that are not trying to belittle me, to sambucas nigra i do cook all the time but i was merely asking for ideas, now i know why lots of people do not post on here because you always come across a smart Alec. Also when i say wild camping i mean just camping anywhere, sorry i got my words wrong????

No, I was asking to work out whether you had ever cooked anything on a hob or a grill before or whether you were a proficient cook and just wanted recipe ideas.

Basically, cook what you usually cook on the hob or under the grill.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Buy a halogen oven, cheapest place to get one is Poundstretcher/Instore.

You can cook a full roast, does great toast, grills...
    I'm not that way reclined

Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!

Before you go and source anything that need electricity check your possible stops for electric hook up and ditto that for the vehicle as well. Otherwise its bottled gas.

Take tinned stuff that you just reheat, and maybe sausages bought fresh.
Failing that, a large supply of MREs

just about anything other than roast meat & the trimmings can be done with a hob & a grill

I rarely use my oven for anything other than baking ... for instance I never 'oven' oven chips, they go under the grill on a low heat, turned frequently & they're always perfect (as long as you dont wander off :D) & it saves on fuel

what were you planning to cook? perhaps we can give you some tips :)

Pasta or rice with a sauce is hob-only. Just buy jars of bolognese or curry sauce and a pack of mince or chicken breasts and job's a good 'un.

What sort of meals do you eat at home? I'm assuming you use your oven most nights and that's why you're asking. If you let us know the sorts of things you normally eat then we might be able to suggest similar alternatives (rather than things you've never eaten before in your life)...

I don't use my oven everyday at home but I would take my steamer, slow cooker, mini George Forman grill and, if I had room and there wasn't one in the caravan, our microwave.
