any ideas anyone for wild camping in scotland for meals to cook on the basics, we also will be taking a fold up bbq.
Thank you in advance.

You want to know what you can cook on a hob or under a grill?
Do you usually cook anything at all?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Any meat can be grilled on a griddlepan and any veg can be charred on your BBQ or boiled on the hob. A casserole can be left to simmer on the hob, or assuming warm weather you will probably end up with salad dishes so won't need the oven?
The OS board might give you more advice."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -
20 years camping and never needed an oven. Bolognese sauce, pasta chilli, fajitas, paella, risotto, curry, savoury pancakes, one pot stew, fish, meatballs etc etc etc0

A saute pan - straight sided frying pan about two inches deep - with a lid is very versatile on a hob.
You can fry/brown in it, stew/casserole in it, and boil vegetables and pasta, although not all at the same time.

Remember to use bbq only in open space. Stay safe! We'll be glowing, we'll be glowing in the dark.
Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting their own battles.0
