One month in UK - 3G Payg options?

I will be coming to the UK for 3-4 weeks shortly and was wondering if there was a pay as you go sim card I could get for my phone that would let me connect to the internet (via 3G I presume)?

I've been out of the UK for a few years so not up to date with what is on offer these days.

I'd also be doing a small bit of texting but not many calls on the phone.

Pretty much any sim card will allows you to connect to the internet, but at a cost, most networks have some kind of bundle for internet access etc

Just go in to any phone shop, or a lot of other shops ask for a sim card, pop it in, buy a topup voucher from any supermarket, most corner shops etc and off you go..

three offer a bundle that lasts a month and includes 3000 texts, 300 minutes ans unlimited data for £15, the sims can be bought from three shops, most phone shops, argos, tesco, etc etc

just buy one / get one free, buy a £15 topup voucher and bobs your auntie.

If you want to come prepared, just get yourself on ebay, buy your chosen sim, when you get here just buy your topup voucher and away you go, some sims allow you to just topup and go, others prompt you to register it, usually just some automated service.

if you go for this, then id say go for a giffgaff sim, you can buy a bundle of texts / minutes / data for a tenner that lasts a month, but you will need to activate the sim online.

I went with giffgaff and ordered a free sim from their website.

It sounds like for £10 a month I will get free mobile internet.

Just need to unlock my phone now!
