Compulsury water meter

in Water bills
Southern water have put water meter outside my property my first reading they say willwork out to £437 a year compaired to old bill of £433 but during drought i havent watered the garden or washed the car so my bill i think will be astranomincal what can i do

If you have recently moved in then they are allowed to put you on a meter and there is nothing you can do to prevent this happening.
In certain areas, where there is severe water shortage, again compulsory meters can be fitted - I would check if that applies.
Obviously you should take steps to reduce your water consumption. As a guide, the average consumption is approx 55 cubic metres per person per year.0 -
you can get the price capped, but only if you have a medial condition that required high use of water or 3 or more children living in the property, not sure if there is more0

Use water efficiently and economically, like the rest of us on meters have to if we want a smaller bill.
Water meters should be compulsory everywhere.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
