  • More Money with the greatest of respect I dont think you are listening to the advice you are being given...

To answer your question: Whats a Troll: "An "Internet troll" or "Forum Troll" is a person who posts outrageous message to bait people to answer" -- http://curezone.com/forums/troll.asp

    Right back to business.

I am going on the premise that this is a genuine post, and with that I will offer you my common sense advice, which should be taken with a pince of salt, EAOE...

If you earn £120k a year, own ten properties and have an £800k house with a £400k mortgage on it and you now only need another £50k alot of banks will lend you the money - If you go in and see them face to face.

As I said before Barclays have an account for people earning over £100k.

The Nat West commercial lending team are also very good.

Stop applying for more loans as you are getting too close to the woods to see the trees.

Seriously its coming across as though you are panicing, and given that business is business you need a clear head.

If you have £50k already offer your brother the £50k in exchange for a 25% stake in the business and tell him you will use your knowledge and contacts to help him find the other £50k.

It may be worthwhile trying to bargain down the huge amount of interest which is being requested...

6 Applications in one day will cause you problems if you carry on.

You *may* need to place a debenture on your property in order to secure the extra £50k.

Also just tell your wife, it will make things easier in the long run...

Bear in mind this is a huge amount of risk you are undertaking.

If your brothers restaurant is going to pay you £3k per month that means its making a profit of £12k per month. Which means in 4 months he could pay off the missing £50k...

You can also appeal against the loan decisions... Just show them some payslips...

Right I've given you a number of different options, hope that helps...
Got letter from Lombard today, declined!!

still waiting for GE Money to get back to me but i know thats a NO.

So far i have £50k raised after 6 applications in one day, damn it if i was more carefull with the RBS app i would of had £75k and would of made up the remaining £25 from my savings.

There is no way i can take out £50k from my savings to make the the shortfall without the wife finding out plus i dont think i would want to use my own money for that either when i can use the banks but i might just have to!!

Now i understand that i have to wait 3 months before i can apply for any other loans, can any one confirm this as it seems like a very short period i always believed that it was 12 months, why would a lender consider you after only 3 months when all your searches stay on you credit file for 12 months and they can see it?

Exactly - quicker than you re-applying for loans in 3 months time. If these 'associates' are pushing for their money quickly, you applying for credit over weeks and months isn't going to help your brother, is it?
I am not stubborn. I am merely correct.

The bait by OP, is just too silly for words. None of the figures, story or rationale stand up to the slightest examination.

I think ITconsultant's post #25, though is so funny I've nominated it for post of the month.

I disagree. Troll or not this story can only have a happy ending as the OP will by now have ensured his family have proper med insurance to cover themselves for when they get visited from their 'not so nice guy' friends in the Midlands.
    Aaaahhhhh.....
