There is a Disability and Dosh board - go to the menu of boards, scroll down to 'Who and Where You Are' and it is listed there. It isn't a board specifically for helping you fill out the DLA form, but you will find posters are helpful in giving advice to questions asked.0

Not a specific section as such, you could try asking questions here or you could try in either the 'Disability & Dosh' or the 'Moneysaving in Families' forum areas.
I found the best advice to support our initial claim came from websites that dealt specifically with my son's problems.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I thought there were 2 parts for claiming DLA one part which is care and then the mobility part?
I claimed the care part for my 2 year old who is awaiting to go to the panel for ASD, now my child is 3 years old I can claim the mobility part if I wish, I haven't though I found the form very draining.0 -

That form is draining agreed! thought mobility was 5 years though as my 4 year old's claim he got high care no mobility when he struggles with it for numerous reasons all autism related0 -

DLA does come in 2 parts, but the form is in one. If you google the descriptors for DLA (children) it will tell you what the criteriors are for care and mobility. This is a good starting point. Print them out. Then look up your childs condition on google and have a good read. There will be a support group or 2 that will be better able to give advice on the condition than anyone here. Filling out that form is not hard at all. However DLA is not about condition, but how that illness affects your childs life needs. Do they need for example constant watching as they are likely to be in danger? Do they need help with the toilet etc.
You need to think of DLA in the same way that UK gov't think about it. You need to make sure that you download the one for an under 16 year old. You can hold it on a PC and save it in situ until you are 100% happy with it. Then print it out and submit it. Far easier than trying to complete it by hand. Neater too.0
