How are you supposed to dry yourself after a shower or wash? Hospital's are not hotels, with a supply of towels changed daily, and if there were any towels I wouldn't want to dry myself on ones other patients may have used:eek: There's usually somewhere on the ward you can hang a towel up to dry, even if it's just the back of the easy chair next to the bed.Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame

A lot of people just wear cotton trackie/short bottoms and t-shirt nowadays in hospital I found it much more comfortable to wear when just lying on top of the bed or going to the bathroom than a nightie..if you have a procedure they'll ask you to put on a gown anyway..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

No need for towel. Please take comfy day clothes to wear in the day. Wearing PJs and night dresses all day is very old fashioned.0

Strange hospitals you must have been in where you don't get given towels! When I have been in hospital either working, staying or as a visitor patients have their own towels and yes they are changed daily. In fact I can remember it was one of my jobs to change them when I first started. They certainly aren't communal towels.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

All the hospitals I can remember staying in have had a small towel rail at the back of the locker where you hang the towel up when not in use.Torry_Quine wrote: »Very surprised at the suggestion of taking a towel. When used what would you do with it?

But handcleaner for me doesn't really improvethe sterility of the environment when there is a breach of the environment of my cerebrospinal fluid or what ever its called. While beiong clean and in that sort of environment, anti bacterial stuff is part of that i guess, me having clean and sterile hands is the least of my worries about routes infections might take tbh.0 -

I have always been furnished with towels. I do like the idea of taking my own though. It might be they feel its better to use one of theirs if i need to use one. By taking mine i have choice.:)0
