Tv in bedroom

Got old sky multiroom cables going into bedroom 2, but no box. If I were to buy a TV how would I get channels (apart from paying for another multiroom)?

Can I buy a sky box & get the "free channels" or another type of box?

Buy a TV with built in Freesat, or a Freesat set top box.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Do they have to be connected to co-ax? If so, does it have to go to a roof top ariel or will the exsisting dish be ok?

    Will it get many channels?
Anything other than the 5 free ones?

Freesat requires a connection to a dish in order to receive signals
from a satellite orbiting the earth.
A Freesat decoder will receive many more than the big five terrestrial channels.
You can even buy a Freesat recorder .

A Freesat box can use the old multiroom cable to the satellite dish. It's the obvious solution for you, unlike Freeview which would require a roof top aerial.

You can get a cheap Freesat box for £30 from Argos, or £70 for an HD one.

Nothing more to pay after buying the box.

Obviously you don't get Sky Subscription channels, only free channels as shown here: http://www.freesat.co.uk/what-you-get/our-channels

The clue is in the name sat =satellite, look up freesat.
The multiroom cables you have connect vto the box or the TV.
