Ok a quick update on my april SOA

Mobile £25.00ish till july £38.38 high but £20 odd down on last month's.
Leaving £132.42 for weekend away with son, £100 B+B still to be paid. Yay I got £294 paid into my bank account by the Halifax, hehe I won. Well partially won but considering the timing it means son can have a decent break.

I know many would suggest i use these reclaimed charges on rent arrears and dell to get them paid off, but to me, seeing my son happy is worth more.

Still after sticking to my £2 a day shopping though.

Not wishing to rock the boat but isn't £100 maintenance for 3 children a bit on the low side?

£100 is paid for first 2 children.Their father also has two other children to care for. He is a good father and when he became a dad again, csa tried to triple his payments to me!!! I called them and said he may as well sell the house and live in a box now then. My children stay very regularly at their father's home with their half brothers. At 21 he made the bad mistake of taking a 100% mortgage out so pays a large percentage of his wage on the mortgage. I believe in playing fair and always have done. Until I started getting child tax credits my income support was reduced by the maintenance that is paid to me. since maintenance is disregarded by CTC the family is now seeing some benefit from it, whilst for the first 8 years we never saw benefit from it.
As to my third child(who has a different father), since he actually lives at my mum's (he wants to be an only child and being youngest of 3 and hates his elder syblings) no maintenance is seen for him.

  • Chev _ I only get £110 for two!!!!, though their dad lives the life of Riley with holidays motorbikes and a £30.000 pa job!! There is no point fighting it for the simple reason, you can take a horse to water and but you cant make it drink!!

ok, i did manage most of April being a tight penny pincher. Sorry i didn't keep my dairy up to date, but with essays due, holiday to get packed and sorted plus my mother moved into her own flat, so was playing at removal's with an Asda trolley (now there was cheap moving for your £1 returnable for the use of trolley).
In total had little time for the internet.
So lets see what does May have instore for me. Well i almost maxed my CC out I got for safety spends whilst away with son. Hoping to get atleast 75% paid back if not the full amount this month.

Well I have just accepted my first assignment, not as spectacular a pay out as first one offered, but couldn't do that one due to being miles short of requirements. When DD and DS's dad comes for them tomorrow, will have to discuss it with him to find out how I go about declaring it to Income Support and also double check how much I am entitled to earn a week without penalty (ah the joys of having a jsa advisor for an ex)

Well I am once again trying to keep an eye on how much I use for gas and electric, so far electric wise since swappig over to a standard meter i have used just under 9 units a day, my gas i dont fully understand, as i am not sure what i am actually reading but since the 13th nov it reads 01139(725) the numbers in the bracket are in a red box whilst the others are in a black box.
