Domestic oil q and a's please

my son is looking to rent a house down Lincolnshire and looking at one that is really nice has a oil tank. the oil tank is 1225 litres and just looking on the net at a company called boilerjuice it looks like the tank would cost around £842 to fill.

Ok, hopefully someone will give me some ideas of usage for a 2 bedroom property. how long would a full tank of oil last is it cheaper than piped gas? Do companies just come and fill up the tank? or can you call them and ask to put in £100 for example of would they want to fill up each visit.

Please can I have some idea of the set up here please.

i live around that area, don't buy from beetlejuice,
if you ring round the local suppiers you can get them to under cut each other
i fill my tank up in the summer, for my place it lasts around 9-10 months
but i also have a wood burner attached to heating/water system.

My tank is 1200l but its never full:-(
We had 500L in May and have used an inch on the quage just heating hot water. Will last till we turn the heating on then it will be gone by xmas. Hot water is on 4 hours a day. Heating in winter is usually 6 hours a day.
Been using oil for 4 years now and use about 1500 a year. 3 years in 2 bed bungalow. 1 year in 3 bed semi.
I always use boilerjuice to see what the rough price is and then ring round. Watsons is cheap in my area - Wisbech.
