Grrrrrr........some people!!!

having a moan really.(and I'm a bit angry)

i sold an item of clothing 2 weeks ago and quoted £2.50 to post to Germany . a buyer bought 2 items (£5.00 p + p)and off i went to the post office. both items to post were less than £2.00 so i refunded buyer immediately on my return of £3.00 as i was feeling a bit greedy taking the full amount.

anyway logging into ebay a few days later, ifound i had a neutral from this buyer who claimed the item had a small stain (hadn't seen one on my inspection before listing). but was angry that she had just left a neutral without communicating etc. so up to now i have not returned feedback as i was tempted to neg (through anger) stating no communication, .

anyway tonight i log on to a message from said Ebay member demanding +ve feedback for her prompt payment.

i just need your thoughts as i am sooooooo p'd off with this one

Its up to you what feedback you give and that includes none.
You can put a comment on the persons feedback given to you but i would put it down to experience and give them a neutral and forget about it.
I would also bar the person from bidding on any future auctions you may list.

What a nerve! She's left it open for you to leave whatever feedback you want to.

Whatever rating you left, I'd be tempted to put:

'Didn't bother to email before leaving neutral, then pestered for a positive'

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
  • I'd probably leave a similar comment, with a neutral rating. I'd be tempted to neg, but I'd take a deep breath and count to ten or come and moan about it here first, then leave neutral f/b when I was (relatively) calm and rational.
I recently got my first and only neutral from a customer who paid by PO, and since the item was heavy and so quite expensive to post, I waited until it had cleared (buyer might not have realised at the time that POs need time to clear nowadays), then due to unforeseen circumstances I didn't post it for another couple days after that, which was still within my stated handling time of within 3 days of cleared payment. Anyway, meantime my buyer had sent a message asking about their item, so I said that since I hadn't yet posted it, I would upgrade postage from Standard Parcels to 1st Class, then they'd get their item about the same time as if I'd posted it Standard Parcels the same day payment cleared. The postage upgrade cost me about £3, and instead of a thank you I got neutral feedback. I didn't leave him any, but if he'd asked for it he'd have got neutral back.

I like that statement very much and I think I would be tempted by a neutral to back that up. Asking for feedback in this situation just adds insult to injury and I think it is definitely worth warning other sellers that this buyer is TSFE.

Have to say I'd probably neg her... If I had gone through the hassle of refunding part postage without them asking and then being neutralled without them bothering to contact me I'd be VERY upset.

I would personally neg her! she is the one that created this problem! a small stain can be overlooked so I always give the seller a chance to sort it out! what an idiot!
