The Norton firewall will still be active and it's virus definitions for protection will still be there so you will be protected for the viruses that Norton has been updated for before it expired so you are still protected to some degree. What you won't be protected against are any new viruses that may attack your computer because Norton won't have been updated to recognise them to stop attacks.

Free, I can't remember what people were recommending on here the other day but as for paid, I'd go down the Kaspersky route but make sure you download the Norton tool from their website so you can strip Norton off your system first. Norton is worse than AOL and it gets everywhere!:(

I managed to take Norton's off our computer on my own with no removal tool. Terrified me though, right down to the registry. Never been afraid of picking apart software since though :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I might add, I always set a restore point first and know how far to go !

By the way Happy, the seller cannot refuse returns, especially as he misdesribed the product anyway. You will have to send it back by a trackable method though, which might mean a little more expense, but if you do not he may well claim he has not received it and you need a tracking number to upload to Paypal.

But then, I bet you know all that anyway :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Have had a cough for a few days now and can't shift it. Think it started out as a head cold and went to my throat. It feels like it is still coming from my throat but it is so sore when I cough now.

    Any home remedies, please.

I'm the same, I only switch my TV on when adding movies to the library of my Apple TV.

I keep hoping I'll find someone to curl up on the sofa with to watch the 285 movies and 1,000 TV episodes that I've got.:rotfl::rotfl:
