Evening Elite....I haven't been reading for a few days because since my car was scrapped on Monday
I haven't been able to get to any supermarkets :eek::eek: and I haven't been on here in case a major glitch happened and I couldn't do anything about it!
Anyway today I have a car!:T:T:T (And my life back too)
Turns out OH has a mate who knows lots about cars and can spot a dodgy one a mile off so he took us out looking :T and I've got a P reg Peugeot 306 which cost £400 and although a few bits are falling off it's OK and tomorrow it will be wheeling down the A470 to Mr A for a womble - not been for a week and I feel like I have gone cold turkey!
Can anybody tell me please is there anything new in the last few days? I guess OJ and yogurts are long gone now but I see something about pork loins? Makes a change from pizza!!!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -

Should I be miffed?
Just found out that my daughters 2 friends have gone roller skating without inviting her. We are always taking them places and would never dream of leaving one of them out. My daughter is sad as she would have liked to go with her friends. The mum of one of her friends is very competitive, she bought her daughter the complete kit, skates, helmet, knee and shin pads whilst we bought our daughter some 2nd hand skates from ebay much to the disgust of the friends parents. She said that she would never do that although she is not adverse to selling them on ebay. My daughter has been having a great time on her skates and we have been taking her to a roller skating club each Sunday. As soon as we found out about the club i mentioned it to said mum and offered to take her daughter with us. They decided to go on their own and I think that they were disapointed to see that despite all the new kit their daughter is still struggling, whilst our daughter is having a whale of a time on her cheap skates, even though she has so much to learn, she was having fun.
Why do people have to be like this? I know this is a little thing in the grand scheme of things but feel sad for my daughter.
I'd drop this "friend" and her parents like a bag of proverbial...they aint friends..."He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Woopsiequeen wrote: »Evening all...not had time to catch up yet so apologies if this has already been posted. I spoke to the store manager in my local Extra this evening and asked about the Price Drop leaflet.. he had no info and went to find the compliance manager who kindly came down and showed me all of the leaflets / offers due in store, he had a compliance manual that ensures they have all of the correct banners/ stands etc in place. He said there was no Price Drop due in and that perhaps it had been stopped by HO due to other offers taking precedence. He was really helpful and when I explained that I had asked about this on their FB page and advised that it would be in "any day" he said he could only apologise but it didn't appear to be the case. So..other than getting them in the newspaper / printing them off line I don't think we're going to see them instore..but I / they could be wrong.
Right off to catch up..no energy for skipping !
I'll eat my hat if they start appearing in stores! They've been done away with instore as far as I'm concerned and your conversation with the compliance manager pretty much sums it up. I was kinda told the same, but didn't have much faith in the guy at the time, but looks like he wasn't telling porkies!
You going to bring it up with the FB guys?!...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
