Just had a spare 10 mins to myself, so thought I would come on here and say hello, sometimes MSE feels like my only 'me' time at the moment, and I do feel guilty about scanning and not contributing.

I had a 'meltdown' on friday, carers are not washing mums pots properly (which maybe contributing to her continuing diarrhoea..its day 11 now!) or wiping/cleaning her commode (sorry if its too much info), or putting the breaks on her commode (leading to her nearly falling off it). DN did not turn up to do a continence assessment, Physio and OT from community team never returning my calls, SW too busy to help till sometime next week, GP doesnt seem to be able to get the hospital discharge prescription correct and its all medidosed, so i had to beg for the correct tablets, and was then expected to open every little pouch (112 of them) to swap them, the tablets were too bl00dy big to go in anyway, and then how am I supposed to seal them all back up again?

Im there in between the four daily carer calls, and during the night when my mum presses her pendent, they just call me, then over i go to wipe the floors and change her.

Anyway, it was the last straw for me, I had a shower, crying my eyes out, then the next thing I knew I was on the floor screaming like a banshee pulling my hair and hitting my head. I feel so ashamed about it now, and it really frightened the kids and my OH.

Then GP calls in response to my request to PLEASE get my mums prescription right and of course Im like a hysterical madwoman:eek:.

Ironically she says she wants to see me straight away in the surgery, and my mum has to wait till tuesday to get a visit!:(

The end result was her telling me that its 'normal' for carers to feel like this and Im 'too attached' to my mum! (So its nothing to do with the fact that the majority of the professionals dealing with my mum arent doing their jobs properly then?)

A receptionist saw me on the way out and the state I was in, (I felt like taking my mums prescription myself at that point!) She called me and my OH to a room, gave my kids a drink, spoke to another doctor and between them they got the right prescription at last, and the GP called SS who arranged two calls at night to help clean my mum up and help her with the commode over the weekend. Thank God that receptionist stopped me, there are still some caring people who really help.

So now my mum and I have had two better nights sleep with carers helping her at night it has helped us both, that makes 6 calls a day!

We will just have to see what next week brings, I just hope she improves, she said to me herself that we can't carry on like this.

Havent even had time to think about trying to use my last few shandy vouchers, have they been totally stopped or just 'one per transaction' like the lager?..and then I see theres a coke/pepsi glitch going on too, really wish I could get that one, with having the kids off school to give them a treat (dont want them to have too much shandy:rotfl:)

Please dont feel anyone has to reply, theres nothing anyone can do, it just helped me to get it off my chest:o
