So sorry to hear about Geoffrey Hughes :( I believe it was the big C :(

I am terribly sorry for everyone who's lost someone dear, those who have mentioned this evening of parents passing at such a young age, and no doubt many many more :A

I am endeavouring to catch up but while we're talking of great losses I have to send a huge hug in silvercar's direction. I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear Father :Axxxx

    Not wishing to sound callous.....APG related;

Pepsi Max and Pepsi 2l are comparing at full price though they are 2 for £3 :D:D:D:D:D I pressume this would work on Diet too but not confirmed.

    On an A's vs T's shop it compares as;
£3.78 vs £1.78 so after the 10% guarantee works out the same price as Coke 41p per 2litre bottle :T:T:T
** MUST buy in multiples of 2 for multibuy discount and to compare at bogof in T's**

Walkers Sensations work the same as the Doritos :T:T

**Similarly buy in multiples of 2**

    and finally;

Jacobs Club Fruit 8pk (ONLY FRUIT, the others are not part of the multibuy)

    2 for £2.50 in A's but compares as £3.18 vs £1.75 in T's (bogof)

    So after 10% guarantee = 44.5p per pack :D

    **Again multiples of 2**

Lastly a note about whoopsies tomorrow with the extended opening hours .... last week the manager at both my local A's and local T's was worried of not clearing whoopsies so did them at the SAME time as usual. Now because more people are aware, it may be a little later but it was like a ghost town in the supermarkets at 5pm last week if anyone ventured, so perhaps not. I think it will be a bit of a lottery! Fingers crossed eh?!:cool::p:rotfl:

Has anyone received their P&G Olympic picnic set yet? I'm a couple of points off being able to order it but I don't know if it's any good and if I should get the towels instead. Any feedback at all from anyone?

I got mine a while back and it's certainly fit for purpose.

The material is a bit cheap (to be expected since it was incredibly cheap for this womble) but I'll make good use of it

Everything stores away nicely and there is plenty space for packing snacks

Next on my list is the games set, badminton set and football. I could probably do each one 4 times over but I've just let the receipts pile up rather than process them.

My favourite receipts are £20/£22 pampers ones, I seem to keep finding these ;)

Not bad for someone who did their first APG today. Not bad at all :D:D

I'm very tempted to get some Pepsi now....

Can't argue with free money, lol

Although I have to ask, are you sure it's coming back as £4.74 EACH? That can't be right, can it?

If its £2.37 for one then surely it is comparing both packs at a total of £4.74

If it is comparing £4.74 against £3.60 (S and Ts price of £4 less 10%) then you get £1.14 back on a £4 spend
no sorry it is 2 packs for £4.74 as opposed to the £4 you pay and S&M price and a fiver in waitrose. the apg was for 1.04

Thanks for clarifying. If it had compared at £4.74 each that would have been a very sweet deal indeed!

    :D Thanks! :D

I had 25 mins from being able to print my 1st til the store closed and Mum hadn't brought my car back so I had to run down the road  :rotfl::rotfl: Then I was running round A's and she came to find me. She said I looked flipping stressed!! :o:o:rotfl:

I have to confess the Sensations one isn't mine ;) and the Pepsi was a joint effort! ;)

But I did the Club biscuits all by myself :o:o:o:rotfl::rotfl:

I actually guessed almost a week ago the Pepsi might glitch when the bogof was revealed at T's :eek::eek: I thought I was wishful thinking and somehow I totally forgot about it!! And then a LOVELY little birdie reminded me :D:D:D:D:D:T:T:T:T

    LOL

Earlier today I had bagged up my shopping and was about to pay when I decided I would put my bags into the trolley. I was glad I did because I noticed a banana still in my trolley

I think I maybe sounded a bit too eager when I thrust it at the SA and said "this too please" with a slight hint of panic :rotfl:
that made me laugh - I count the items as I put them on the conveyor - just to be doubly sure I have the right amount - usually go for 10 items lol

Heres a breakdown of the multiibuys mentioned above and if they work in our favour or not.

Sadly I don't think they are worth doing but I am highlighting them just incase anyone sees the multibuys advertised instore and thinks about adding them to their basket

    "Pizza and Coke for £4"
This seems to be a 1.25litre of coke scanning at £1.38 and a CYO Pizza for £3.50
The coke is comparing at full price of £1.38 vs £1.50 in Ts, and N/A in M and S
So you get a whopping 3p back if you target against Ts (£1.50 in T less 10% is £1.35)
The pizza is a non-comparing item

    "Toiletries 2 for £3.00"
This shopper has bought Colgate Sensitive Whitening Toothpaste Tube (75ml) and Sensitive Multi Protection Toothpaste Tube *75ml) both for £2 each
They compare at full price of £2 each (not the £1.50 each you pay)
    Comparisons against T
Whitening at £1.40 and Multi Protection £1.39. So less the 10% A's is comparing £2.00 with £1.26 for each one so you get back 74p for each one.
Thats 2 tubes of toothpaste for 76p each
    Comparison against S and M
S and M are both selling these at £2.79 each. Do not add to a targetted shop against S or M as A is cheaper by more than 10%

    "Suncare 2 for £12"
The following are all £7 each in A and on offer of 2 for £12. The APG compares at full price of £7 for each product not the £6 you pay:
Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect Spray SPF 30 (200ml)
Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect+ Transparent Body Protection Spray SPF 50 (200ml)
Nivea Sun Invisible Protect SPF 30 (200ml)

    Comparisons
Ts is selling all for £7 each. You get 70p back on each
S is selling the Garnier at £7.49 each. You get 26p back on each
S is selling the Nivea at £7.25 each. You get 48p back on each

Like I say, nothing earth shattering going on here. But at least it earned me another £9.xx APG. I reckon I am over £50 on wombled APGs this weekend :T:T
    thank you:)

Thanks for that. I have 398 points so just need one more womble and that's me!

Just watching iPlayer for a rerun of the opening ceremony as I missed the first 30mins or so. I love the segment showing the flame travelling the UK especially seeing Ben Parkinson (the most seriously wounded soldier to survive Afghanistan). Not wanting to cause any controversy but it makes you feel so humbled to see images like that and so proud that the games have come to London. I was totally 'whatever' about the games until I caught the opening ceremony by accident though I will admit to some cradle snatching that will be happening on Monday when Mr Tom Daley takes to the boards :o

Night all. Happy glitching Sunday one and all
