Try Recuva on the SD card. Install it to your PC, (taking care to remove the tick from any option to install a Toolbar) and choose the Output to be somewhere on your computer, such as the Desktop.
Then plug the SD card(if that was where the file was stored) in to the computer using your card reader, and then use Recuva to scan the card and to output the results to a folder on your Desktop. Hopefully the video will be there, even if it has an odd name.0 -
The copy my mum has is a jpeg as well.
Takethis, thanks Ill try that.
Thanks everyone. Really appreciate you taking the time to reply.x0 -
Did you verify the video in the first place by playing it with QuickTime? If so, perhaps quicktime can replay it (i.e. it is listed as a playlist/played item). And if so, it should then be locatable.

Computers rarely delete anything, so I expect the video will be there somewhere.
Just a word of caution, you should be wary of posting any images of naked babies on a sharing site.
If you find the video, best to keep it on your desktop and only show it directly from there.0
